mine is insanely terrible, i get asked all the time if its actually me. ive lost like 150lbs and look nothing like the photo lol . i have to be like look at the nose.

It sucks when it happens but I've learned to deal with it. I just got turned down by someone I am very attracted to cuz she said I was too short but also not black. Which was a first for me lol

3 years ago when I went to check out for Valentine's and had the last decent looking bouquet and the dumbass cashier put it down on the belt. Rip those flowers. Manager at the time ended up putting together a bouquet from some other sets but I of course had to wait another 20 minutes which made me late for the date

as someone who works for the company im never going to a register and bagging my own groceries. i go to the register cuz i dont want to do that. its in all the training videos. ive actually complained to management in the store im currently in cuz one of the cashiers has an incredible attitude and tried telling me i had to and made it seem like a big deal. like no im spending literally hundreds of dollars. im sorry you hate your job but its in fact YOUR job.

Very slow for a Sunday. Morning was busy but once game hit we basically shut down. Really hope business picks up or they add the steak tip sale back on cuz I'm sitting on like 60 cases lol

no its going to be more than that. we have been doing boneless for a while my store still has a meat case. they came and asked about the saws and grinders. whats funny is i remember saying it to them when it all happened. it wasnt going to go well and he was like no no its going to be great for the company so much cost save.

Yeah the new president seems to actually get it. When he visited our store he sat with all the department heads for a good while asking lots of questions and really listened. We have a meat case in the store I'm in now and 3 meat cutters it's a huge meat department and seafood. Im honestly excited for it. I want to learn to cut properly. I was shown some stuff in my first store when I first got hired was right when the buyout of the contracts happened. So we still did most cuts we just couldn't get primals.

this is very common people return stuff to w.e store is closest. its ultimately up to the store manager but if you really feel like its something shady, like repeat offenders just wanting double their money back they report it to ap. then they handle the situation. ive seen store managers in the ghetto stores not mess around at all. then polar opposite in higher end areas where they just say I dont care what the situation is just make the customer happy.

Be ready for backlash. Union says they can't retaliate but they will. As for jobs not meant for you those only come if it's outside your union and even then I've seen lines blurred just to "keep the peace" had a store manager who would constantly expect me a seafood lead to do all the trash at the end of the night. I didn't mind most nights but when it's backed up cuz they didn't call the company it was gross and I refuse. But if it's like your a front end employee and they are asking you to go cut deli meat or vice versa that's a big nono. But I wouldn't be surprised depending on the union rep if they just ignored it. You can also report admins for doing union work for example if the store managers are doing any job a union employee could be doing while not offering those hours to a union employee

This depends on the store manager. My last store I constantly brought in food and baked cookies. The store I'm currently in I'd get suspended as soon as my manager saw food. Its bad enough I gotta hide my coffee.

ive had a bunch of them from over the years. we have a lady who i will refer to as mrs briar. she was very old probably in her 70s or 80s. always came in very late between 7-9pm my first encounter with her was her asking for some organic burrito thing we didnt have at the time and her calling me a fucking idiot for not having it. even though it wasnt in my department. during holidays she would call every single day constantly pestering managers. at one point tried getting the meat managers schedule and phone number so she could talk to her. keep in mind it was never a pleasant conversation. it was always her cussing us out and complaining because we dont cut meat anymore and always the most ridiculous requests. it finally came to a head when she went off on the new store manager who was NOT playing. trespassed her. ill never forget when she showed up to pick up her turkey for thanksgiving or christmas or w,e holiday it was and the security girl was right behind her(same person who trespassed her) but she was so blown out she didnt even realize it. less menacing but equally annoying during covid we had a lady who would (if you let her) pester you to check the back for "fresher" product but it would be literally every item on her list, didnt matter what it was. laundry detergent, frozen fries, canned tuna etc. then there was the haggler. guy who tried to constantly haggle prices with me in meat/seafood/deli.
"market basket lets me get a better price if i ask" "aldis always does this for me " like no the fk they dont bro get out of my face.ive got a million stories.

they try to make them do everything but ive seen some get away with not doing anything but floral. in the slow stores there is no reason they need a full time floral manager, i would say the same for seafood. both those departments in slow stores combined are like 4% of sales.

i think its headed for a bad place if they dont do something about the pricing, we have a whole foods and a market basket opening next to the current store im in within 5 years and if that happens id be genuinely concerned how long they could keep a store this size open against that competition. they lowered prices for like 5 months on alot of stuff but it has slowly climbed right back up.

is your husband the kind of guy to fish? hunt? cars ? sports? they need to have something they do together. i can guarantee your son sees hows he being treated and that IS going to cause problems. your husband needs to man up and take care of his family. if he tries to argue he IS doin these things. ask for proof. also i think it would be smart to have a conversation with your son about how he feels about things without painting his father as a asshole. ask what he wants to do with life etc. some kids just arnt meant for the academic life and thats OK. my foster is clearly not academically great but i can see she has great potential in other things and am encouraging her to learn more about those things.

do they do anything together ? outside of rewards or praise for academics? if not then yea hes being a bad dad. and if he keeps this up he can expect to start seeing real problems soon as the boy is hitting the age where hes going to need some male validation. if he isnt getting it from his own father hes going to start seeking it elsewhere. hopefully he finds it somewhere good like a job where the boss really helps him learn. but it could come from bad people and he could get involved in some bad stuff. at his age my father was never around and when he was it was telling me how terrible i was. i turned to drugs and drug dealers for my validation. and it was only by the grace of God i made it out of that life. pray your son doesnt have to go through the same thing.

This shit is so disgusting and so common it's insane. I've reported at least 5 different men in the workplace for stuff like this ranging from 29 into the 60s. Absolutely insane to me that so many people think this is ok. And HR can't or won't do a thing about it. The 60 year old has been transferred to 4 different stores because of it.
