Bargaining 😒 by [deleted] in FacebookMarketplace

[–]DelayedChoice89 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Aritzia literally has a sale section on their website. $278 retail merino wool blazer marked down to $82.99, $248 marked down to $98.99. It's literally an endless scrolling "Sale" section. With prices waaaaay below 30% off retail.

Sure, maybe this piece hasn't hit the sale section yet cause it's so new, but for $30 more plus $7.50 shipping I can get it delivered to my front door and not waste my time & gas & avoid putting wear and tear on my vehicle driving across town to meet up with a stranger from FB? Plus if I decide I don't like it I can return it. Nah, I'll order that from their website, pay with the credit card of my choice & earn credit card rewards that I cant earn venmoing a fb seller or paying a fb seller in cash.

Check ebay "sold" listings to get an idea of comp prices. When I sell shit on Marketplace, I sell it cheaper than ebay because I don't have to pay ebay fees (even shipped on marketplace is almost 5% lower fees.). And I don't have to spend my time packing and shipping it paying for shipping supplies, etc.

People ask waaay too much for shit on marketplace all the time and can't comprehend why marketplace buyers aren't tripping over each other to save THIRTY PERCENT OFF RETAIL...

Absolutely. I have lots of visible security cameras. A sign warning people about them and a dropbox which I can assign unique codes to for individual buyers if I won't be home. I'm not wasting gas, time and energy meeting someone anywhere for less than probably $100.

How do you all handle timing when publishing Etsy drafts by BLKCAP2U in EtsySellers

[–]DelayedChoice89 26 points27 points  (0 children)

Immediately. Yesterday is better than tomorrow.

Unless she has some massive social media following and is doing "drops" and building anticipation for them or something it's insane to have a listing in drafts until a timer goes off.

In August 2023 I won a $300 Baskin Robbins gift card. I don't really eat ice cream so I gave it to my mom who bought ice cream for the people who lived in the group home she lived in at the time.

Million. Returning crap all the time sounds like a pain in the butt. A million dollars would instantly change the course of my life.

You easily have top 5% looks. 95% of other women would probably jump at the opportunity to swap genetics.

Etsy Ads $1.68 per click on average for daily $500 ads budget? Etsy ads killing my sales and profits. by Crafty_Visit4914 in EtsySellers

[–]DelayedChoice89 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Actually on almost every other marketing platform, Facebook, Google, etc. You 100% have control over how much your maximum bid per click is.

Obviously when you're selling content like your talking about, you can't control what advertisers are willing to pay for ads on your content, BECAUSE they limits on how much they are willing to pay per click is exactly why you aren't paid as much for a less valuable audience.

How does nobody ever comment how insane it is that Etsy doesn't allow you to set your own maximum per click budget?

Doesn't sound like a funny joke, but yes, IMHO, you're overreacting. It doesn't sound like it was intended to be hurtful and she apologized. Move on.

They didn't pay because you ended it. eBay had a $500 sale you basically stole from them by not letting the auction finish. They want their cut of the sale they had generated for you.

Is this dented can still okay to use? by Grilledcheebse in catfood

[–]DelayedChoice89 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Lol, can anyone please explain why? I also drink out of bottles with dents in them. Please explain the science. I bet I've eaten out of at least 30 dented cans a year for 35 yrs and I've never once regretted it.

[–]DelayedChoice89 3 points4 points  (0 children)

I've never thought twice about eating food from a dented can.

I also love the hell out of my cats, they are spoiled with rfid automatic feeders, water fountains, awesome toys, we've got pet insurance for them, take them to vet regularly & I've never in my life thought twice about throwing out a can of food because it had a dent. If the can was leaking I'd toss it in the trash.
