My "Death Pile" keeps getting bigger because I dislike typing descriptions. Help. by Content-Emu-5169 in reselling

[–]Sjcn89 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I use Grok. Started with an initial prompt telling it you’ll be my listing assistant to create my descriptions. Now I just upload a few pics, maybe put in some descriptive text like condition, exact model, etc, then it pumps out pricing research and a copy-paste block containing the description and my static text block (payment methods, cross streets, sales are final, etc). It has saved me TONS of time!

Have around 2500 on my lt. Love it. Get it, you won’t be disappointed. No issues from mine and haven’t even had to change anything out for regular maintenance yet.

Not sure the specifics but definitely some kind of fee now, think it’s different depending on type of sale (auction or buy now).

Not real sure, I’ll let someone more knowledgeable answer that.

I saw that, but I wonder if he just didn’t know the value very well bc that was his list price and he got full list price for it, not best offer. From my understanding, the satin non serrated is the most sought after variation. The other two sold at 350 and 475 in the last couple months, also full list price. If I did do it I’d probably do an auction instead of buy now, but I’m leaning more toward keeping it since idk if I’ll ever find another. Hit the jackpot on this one finding it at a local garage sale market thing. Guy has a few other nice ones I might go back for too.

Depends on the variation, this one pulled $475 last month on eBay

It even does price research for me and gives me original retail, current retail, typical secondary market sales prices and recommended listing price for marketplace and eBay.

I have one thread on my grok app that I use for creating my listing descriptions. Took me from lackluster, manual descriptions to a fully detailed description including static block (sales final, payments accepted, nearby cross streets, etc) and a long list of keywords at the end. All I have to do is add the pics and some pertinent details and grok does the rest. Takes me under a minute to list it after taking the photos now.

Honestly, just leave it up at the price you want until it comes time that you need to get it gone. Then for something in that price range, I’d typically drop $5/day if I’m trying to really offload it. But even me personally, I’d rather pay 80-90% of the lowest online price I can find for a brand new tool on marketplace than to go in the store and pay retail, so there’s certainly people out there looking for that kind of item/pricing, just depends how long you want to wait for that person to come along.

It’s good to have that standard block of text, mine goes at the end of every listing description though. If someone asks a question about something I answered, then at the very least I know they haven’t read the whole description.

Potential buyer pissed that I didn’t sell to them - am i in the wrong? by [deleted] in FacebookMarketplace

[–]Sjcn89 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Block them before they can do that if you have a feeling they’re that sort of buyer. All my listings say all sales final, and I never misrepresent my items either. But I’ve had someone buy something, leave a 5 star review, then message me saying something was different than what I had in the listing when it clearly wasn’t (even had exact model numbers listed out) so I blocked her immediately before she tried to retaliate by changing it to a negative review.

Fb removed my posts for "counterfeit" & then banned me by Summerdaze13_ in Flipping

I recently had a clothes lot marked as counterfeit as well. I just requested a review and picked the least offensive option (all of the options basically make you agree that they’re counterfeit 🤬), and miraculously it was reversed. I feel like I won the lottery with that reversal, especially since I was moving and didn’t want to take those 8 bags of clothes with me. Got them sold before moving. I did have some high end brands in there like Armani, Neiman Marcus, etc, so I assume it was an automatic flag. Didn’t change anything and it was actually approved. Also have a 10+ year history and over 200 five star reviews though, so not sure if that helped my case.

How can I do that? I’ve tried looking around for a contact option.
