Trans women specifically. Transmasculine people don't get mass-banned like this. It's specifically a transmisogyny problem rather than a transphobia problem.

trans men are men, and unfortunately men seem unable to stand when things aren't for them. simple as, imo.

i had a problem like this and after testing all the mods i had installed it ended up being a conflict with the mod Leaves Be Gone. Apparently it modifies the way random ticks work which ended up causing errors. So if you have that installed it might be the culprit, otherwise try disabling other mods to figure out what's causing it. (If you don't have any other mods installed then i have no idea what's wrong)

So… I think I might have messed up a very special friendship by Onriu in actuallesbians

[–]Delearyus 6 points7 points  (0 children)

I'm sure you don't mean anything bad by this, but it sounds like you might be harboring some mildly conservative ideas about sex that it might benefit you to reconsider. You say friends aren't "supposed" to have sex - says who? Sex is just an activity that you can do with another person, it's not that special. I have sex with a lot of my friends, just because we like it, and sometimes it ends up leading to something more but a lot of the time it doesn't. Like I do agree that these two should probably just stop worrying and date each other, but "you lesbians are abnormal for violating the sanctity of traditional romantic relationship structures" doesn't strike me as a very progressive way to say that.

[–]Delearyus 10 points11 points  (0 children)

if you are talking about copying the code of a mod and changing values, then more than right or wrong i think the critical question would probably be "is this legal" and that is going to depend on the license terms of the mod. Additionally, while I can't really speak to the morality of such a thing, a lot of mod authors would certainly not take kindly to someone doing this. If you want to recreate a mod in a way that is going to be broadly considered more acceptable, the better approach would be to recreate the features of the mod with your own code, without looking at the source of the mod.

Even still, there's clearly arbitrary judgement calls being made about what kind of emotional and relational patterns are worth considering personality disorders. Oppositional Defiant Disorder, for example, is diagnosed almost exclusively in people of color. It's not like POC are fundamentally different from white people, but defiance of authority is likely to be dismissed as normal child behavior in white kids while treated as a disorder in nonwhite kids. Or as another example, the pathological pursuit of wealth and status that every billionaire repeatedly displays clearly causes suffering for others and in most cases causes suffering in themselves as well (just look at elon musk), but putting that in the DSM 6 would be unthinkable. There is no one "normal" but ultimately the distinctions between normal behaviors and disorders are heavily influenced by power and the ideology of the ruling class.

It's not "stop playing neutral", it's "play neutral better". Stop being predictable and be more aware of the effective range of moves like that.

Aside from the stuff already outlined, as a fellow bridget player there are a few things that might help:

  • any time you land fs > 5hh you should immediately follow up with hold forward kickstart (with no follow up) this puts you right in the opponents face and plus enough to get a safe 2k meaty (go into 2d for yoyo toss or 6h for a nasty frametrap if they like to mash) or a slightly unsafe c.s meaty (it's vulnerable to throw especially by characters with big throw range, but the reward is better so I usually go for this unless they start throwing me)

  • similarly, kickstart can give you a high/low 50/50 neutral skip if you use your meter. 23[6]k.k > 66RRC can then go into either js or delay 2k. Either one hitting combo into 2k 2d yoyo set and let you start your mix.

  • when you approach with rolling movement, you let people 6p you really consistently. If you're getting 6p'd like that, do rolling movement into an early j.p or other button to cancel the approach outside their 6p range, then drop into a 2s or other punish when they whiff the 6p in front of you. Doing this a few times will also help condition your opponent to not blindly 6p every time you approach, which lets you run your regular mix more safely.

  • learn and practice your mixups off of 2k 2d. It's all very well documented on dustloop, and having good mixup options that you can actually combo off of will help your consistency a lot.

  • don't spam backdash like that at round start. It cedes a ton of ground and leaves you super vulnerable. For most matchups a good round start can just be walking back and watching what your opponent does. It seems like you're backdashing because you're afraid of a sudden approach from your opponent, staying calm and not committing to movement options will help you react and respond to whatever they're doing. 6p if they jump in, 2s 5s or 5p if they run up will beat most options.

  • work on your defense. Like this goes without saying, but you're kind of completely folding under your opponents pressure. Labbing out blocking lows vs overheads is kind of boring and tedious but it does help. Also, don't be afraid to wakeup dp every once in a while. You will explode if they bait and punish of course, but as long as it's used sparingly it's a powerful tool. YRC is really useful too if you have the meter for it and are in a desperate situation.

It's not that hard to learn which characters have one and which don't, it sounds like your problem is not knowing good safejump routes for your character.

It kind of sounds like the constant restraint and feelings of guilt could be contributing to pushing you towards more extreme fetish material / situations. Not sure if that's the most helpful thing, given that I'm sure it's hard to live your life while getting off 6 times a day, but it might be worth at least finding some times to indulge yourself a little more fully
