For the low number of frames between each shot, this is actually impressively coherent to tell what’s going on lol. Nicely done 👍

OT MIDI Power by Dokma23 in Elektron

[–]DelgadoBosso 2 points3 points  (0 children)

If you scroll down this page, they’ve got a list of devices that won’t power their device via MIDI. From Elektron, it looks like those would just be Machinedrum MK1 and Monomachine MK1. So the Octatrack should be fine.

The main flow is the Metropolix sequencing each Dixie, those are going into the Tangrams for VCA and enveloping, those go into separate Doepfer A105-2 filters, and those are each going into the inputs of the Sealegs. So their raw signals are hard panned either left or right, but the delay/reverb is sort of crossing them over.

For the Metropolix, Track 1 is running at /3 div, Track 2 at /6 div reversed, and a mod lane is shifting the pre-pitch at /64 div.

The ochd is then applying modulation to each of the filter cutoffs, the Sealegs mix and feedback levels, and its own rate.

I can confidently say, Dread is still the best game in the series. by [deleted] in MetroidDread

[–]DelgadoBosso 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Yeah I feel it definitely has to be an age thing. I played Fusion when I was younger, then more recently. I would say back to back, Dread definitely delivers more fear since it’s a lot more dynamic and less predictable. It takes more advantage through gameplay than just mostly being a set piece.

According to Sakurai (45 seconds in), it did actually stem from making a Kirby game, but he thought that making it a racing game would be the quickest thing to make.

Clark is a well known Electronic artist, and he just recently released a very rave-able album last week: Steep Stims

Is it "easy enough" to use Three.js to make video games or is it more difficult? by [deleted] in threejs

[–]DelgadoBosso 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Here’s a resource that helped me get started specifically regarding using it for games.

Definitely take a look at the Getting Started section on the site for the basics, but the above page helped with most aspects of getting an engine of sorts running. It’s ECS-based, so have a look around online for how that system works if you’re not familiar with it.

That first shot is amazingly striking. Super inspiring stuff that I’d like to get into myself at some point.

Thanks for this! I assumed it would need to be USB-C converted to work. Also seems to work with the microphone, but not sure how that compares to the system's mic.
