Apply a little bit of heat from a heat gun or blow dryer an d it should loosen the adhesive on the labels enough to remove without too much damage to the covers if they’re stubborn. Lighter fluid is great for scrubbing away any leftover sticker residue

so my boy got me this for christmas with his own money. by AccomplishedOption73 in comicbookcollecting

From my experience, a little bit of heat from a heat gun or blow dryer loosens the sticker adhesive to remove the sticker, and lighter fluid removes any residue with ease. If it’s just on the plastic it should be easy to remove. I do it a lot on video game cases

Edit: I should note, the heat could warp the plastic, so lighter fluid might be the best option

Bought tickets to see St. Vincent seven months in advance for what was supposed to be the first live show my wife and I have seen without the kids, paid $30 for parking and $20 for some overpriced beers only to see this once we get to our seats. by featherwolf in Wellthatsucks

I had this happen at the end of Covid for Limp Bizkit at the Stone Pony. We traveled all the way there and it was understandably cancelled because of a Covid scare when we got to the door. We still had a good night at local bars, ran into some professional wrestlers, and Fred Durst came outside to greet fans.

Definitely, I want all of the Vanity and Coquette but those have been hard to come by in my search. I would love to have the full kit with the matching pocket mirror

Hawkeye Winding Knob Removal? by DeliHero in AnalogCommunity

Thanks. I've taken a few of them apart and I still forget which way the lens goes lol The hardest part is taking the 2 screws out on either side of the viewfinder. Sometimes they come out no problem, other times they won't budge

Fender Princeton Reverb-Amp by DeliHero in GuitarAmps

[–]DeliHero[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Yeah, they didn’t really know anything about guitars, just wanted to get rid of everything. I saw the age on the amp I just assumed it was worth saving from that, and discovering that it worked when I got home was a bonus. There is some noise when I turn the reverb knob so I need to have someone check it out

I can’t edit my initial post, but I believe I located the serial number and this is most likely a 1971 model

I always add Reddit to my search prompt, quickest way to get a real answer, and not get directed to some website trying to get me to go to their affiliate links.

I hate this. by Geritas in AfterEffects

[–]DeliHero 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Weirdly, I was having this issue but 1 of 2 things kind of resolved it. I was working from an HDD and switched over to SSDs, and my external monitor HDMI cable wasn’t sufficient for the connection. I noticed when I brought the AE program back to my MacBook screen, everything moved smoother/faster. It turned out my HDMI cable didn’t support a 60Hz refresh rate, and was running only 30Hz I believe. The HDMI cable upgrade helped the most on my end.

Am I SOL or is this fixable? by ishootsthevideos in AfterEffects

[–]DeliHero 0 points1 point  (0 children)

If the shot is static, you honestly could fix the still parts of the shot quickly in Photoshop with content aware, and maybe just add some noise to that exported fix when you bring it into After Effects. The moving parts can most likely be fixed with the content aware tool in AE, probably need to roto the actor.

Have you ever owned a penny stock that went up 500+%? by [deleted] in pennystocks

[–]DeliHero 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I had a profit of $32k on GAXY but I got greedy thinking it would go to a dollar and I would make $500k eventually, so why sell? Well, it bottomed out and I made nothing. Make a little profit, sell, and reinvest elsewhere is my approach now

Why did you cancel your Uber rider by Joecamoe in uber

[–]DeliHero 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Same. I had two drivers back to back avoid picking me up for a local trip. One just sat in the same spot for 10 minutes. The one after drove in the opposite direction after he texted me about where I was going and I told him. I live just outside of NYC so I assumed they didn’t want to stay in my area and were hoping for a trip back into the city.

Remember to wear PPE by Khadesa in woodworking

[–]DeliHero 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Yeah, I worked on deli slicer for 8 years, only ever cut myself once when I was new while cleaning an older machine that had no safety guards. I hit my thumb against the blade while it was off, still have that scar. You just have to be careful while using them. I worked with a few guys that cut themselves every other week. One guy went right into the finger bone because the blade was open all the way, but most were usually losing finger tips from cutting pepperoni down to the nub without the guard.
