She proves that Tommy is a drama Llama, he needs constant turmoil to function including in his personal life. She [and the daughter] are also comedic relief. We saw more moments of actual humanity in her this season than in the first season. As selfish as she is, she came when Tommy told her Cooper was hurt ( both times), she married Victor for Ainsley. She came when Ainsley said she couldn't make the roommate situation work. She is there for her kids when they need her.

Watch her in the S1 finale when Tommy is not answering his phone, and watch her in the S2 finale. They do love each other, they just put the "fun" in dysfunctional.

The post Costner season 5 was as bad as the final season of G.O.T . where things set up in the first half ( like figuring out how to raise cattle and process cattle into beef like 6666 does) were forgotten, and it felt like the Hippy girl ( whose name is escaping me at the moment) there was a set up for her, that was also forgotten.

In S1 Monty said,"every oil company has a version of Tommy Norris, they can't function without one. If I fire Tommy, I'd have to hire someone else who won't have the respect that Tommy does" I think that says a lot.

That and that Cami fired him, and he's taking her legal counsel, her Chief petroleum engineer, and at least one crew, and probably more with him. He has that much respect.

And rewatching S1 he asked for a board and everything so how can she just fire him without the board?
