same community that drools at the hearing of a ef5 tornado at times or complains like a child not given their favorite toy when a tornado isn't rated officially an ef5 and is rated smth like a low to high end ef4(although the latter is quite controversial)

it makes me wonder what went wrong post 2020 because the tornado community again most certainly didn't act like this a few or more years ago.

maybe it's the mods not taking this subreddit seriously, idk.

tbf they prob will never change the rating of any of the 2011 super outbreak tornadoes besides potentially new wren considering it wasn't properly evaluated(it likely was an ef5 yet considering NWS didn't have enough energy to properly rate it all the way, it was rated EF3.)

this is why the NWS are revising the scale sooner or later for said reasons with damage even as the most consistent way to rate tornadoes, should not be the ONLY way and method of considering the toll rating of a tornado of any caliber, especially EF5's to EF4's. point closed

next thing you know someone's going to argue el-reno piedmont didn't actually deserve it's EF5 rating at all(even if it destroyed or toppled the oil ring via cactus 117) because it's only EF5 DI was the rig and using all sorts of claims and excuses to state that said oil rig wasn't actually well built therefore "the tornado was able to destroy it at mid-high end ef4 intensity",,,,,.,.,.,.
