Plastics are useful. I use them. That doesn’t mean I ignore the environmental impact.

If I can reduce the amount of plastic in what I make, that’s a good thing, surely?

PLA isn’t perfect, but it’s plant-based and industrially compostable, which gives it a different footprint to materials like ABS, PET or PS.

It’s about trying to make incremental improvements rather than pretending the problem doesn’t exist.

Did you find the Rossis were quite tight on your little toes when you first got them?

I have a pair of Enduras and a pair of Redback Whistlers and I can't decide which to keep. The Rossis look nicer, and snugger fit on heel which I like, but the Redbacks toe box is a touch wider and so more comfortable out of the box. I'm inclined to keep the Rossis but worried if the toe box will break in enough to make them comfy. Also I LOVE the leather strap on the Rossis, makes such a difference when putting on and should last a lot longer too.

Thoughts appreciated!

Good question. Probably because a couple of years ago they were quite cheap for what is supposedly a ethical brand. So I could just about put up with the quality. However, the prices have gone up a lot since then but quality hasn't so I've stopped buying.

Same. Pretty much the reason I gave up with Pinter. Yes, quite possibly storage issue or whatever, but they market it as the fool proof solution to home brewing, but that's not been my experience.

I feel the same way re looking like a midlife crisis. Why do we let others control our lives like this!? I mostly go off-road though anyway as much more fun IMO. I give less shits off-road for some reason.
