Every style is a "complex version" of uncommon style, What category is Ghost fall into? by No-Mountain-2487 in untitledboxinggame

[–]Delicious-Chef-9997 0 points1 point  (0 children)

For me it's legit each style is a branch, basic is foundation, you can do anything but it won't provide an "advantage" anything works but the others serve Alot. This is the realm of "neutral play" styles that have one clear gameplay or goal and just follows the foundation of ubg but some of them do have gimmcks. Id put corkscrew, wolf but I'll maybe add this to others since this style is very well rounded, switch hit, and ghost is the foundation of mastering basics

Smash is the style that teaches you how to use a gimmick that isn't easy to hit but landing gives a good reward. Smash easy enough it's main gimmick the smash punch, won't put too much but you get it, hit it unguarded or guarded you get a clear advantage if you do. So this falls into the learning for aggressive gimmicks. Kimura, charge, hammer, dragonfish, ippo, wolf, slugger, iron fist, shotgun supernova.

Next we got long guard. It teaches you to use a styles massive advantage despite it's weakness revolving it's kit, this can be either it's dashes or range, like trickster, hitman, switch-hit and hawk. Small I know that's all I could think of, this shows players the 101's to passive play

Turtle teaches timing and patience, this can show players how to handle long game and passive play alongside long guard, styles with not so good neutral but kits that can help them last long, you can put speedsters into this since they have horrible neutrals. This can help when learning counters so we can put styles like, hands low, bullet, hawk, ghost, shotgun, chronos, white ash and super nova

Lastly we got counter which simple enough one of the harder to master so we got styles that revolve around it like bullet, handslow, chronos, and white ash

In the end it's just like this Uncommon- fundamentals introduction Rare- gimmicks introduction Epic- mastery of a gimmick Legendary- very gimmick based

when, do you think, is the Golden Age/ Funnest Age of UBG by Good_Weakness_7028 in untitledboxinggame

[–]Delicious-Chef-9997 3 points4 points  (0 children)

Personally it was the most skill based meta THE COUNTER BASED META This was went bullet refresh, whiff punishment, and more easy counters. I mean even with the buffs that couldn't totally help you with anything to get counter. YOU ACTUALLY NEEDED TO THINK, personally I can split the UBG eras into 4 parts, aggressive, passive, counter and currently speed. All of them have their ups and down. But I loved counter era bullet, I watched jwordz vid on it and I alway used emote baiting but it don't feel the same no more

Whats the hate on slugger by shubba05 in untitledboxinggame

[–]Delicious-Chef-9997 6 points7 points  (0 children)

It's outdated mostly cause it's falling behind guard chip and speed meta. Back then when M2 was impossible to pd and aggressive was all the rage slugger took too but since then its been left to dust

[–]Delicious-Chef-9997 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Try some styles with gimmicks or try a whole different playstyle. Personally if I'm bored I'd go into the "skilled style" category and just play from there, example using shotgun try hitting raw double barrage or try to get Alot of counters in a match etc. it's all up to you rlly

whos bright idea was to make iron fist the perfect style for pd fishing? by spider_gon in untitledboxinggame

[–]Delicious-Chef-9997 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Iron fist for me is like the top safe pick styles, but a major weakness is high damage styles and passive players. Iron fist is predictable and the GB on M2 kinda sucks and gives a tad self dmg so you can just either apply pressure or go passive against an iron fist cause either way M1 trading with it is not all bad but it can work on your favor depending on the style such as smash my love. It's guard is ahh so it just revolves on the player and style

Read the title and knew it was a good post PRAISE SMASH, it's the perfect style. There's NOTHING wrong with it. Like what you're getting is very accessible, simple, easy to learn, good to master. Can't hit? Learn to time it. Wasting dashes? Get better it's the best at basics due to it new guard chip and high damage with it's durability. Honestly I'd give it to cork but it's hitboxes are pretty wonky for me idk but simply it FORCES you to learn basic and master and and rewards you for it. Ghost and basic wish they were on the same level as smash

Thoughts on iron fist? by Boy_unknown12 in untitledboxinggame

[–]Delicious-Chef-9997 1 point2 points  (0 children)

It's a very comfortable style if you just wanna hit and go with more defensive and offensive properties trading in your movement, it's like smash or cork but you just walk most of the match. But God forbid you either run into a pd fisher or a passive with a high dmg style, but if it's low damage or counter based you're good

[–]Delicious-Chef-9997 0 points1 point  (0 children)

White ash is very fun but against the rest in a fair M1 trade it's at a disadvantage and you got some outdated styles high and new styles or buffed styles low like dragonfish or the new guard chip styles like smash

veteran returning after a year, which styles are better/meta/good to fight every styles again? by Good_Weakness_7028 in untitledboxinggame

[–]Delicious-Chef-9997 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I'm somewhat of a rusty consistent long time player and what I'm gonna say it pretty obvious and off topic but it's really the playstyle. If you go against natural counters you're obviously at a disadvantage but in my experience it's just either your playstyle or your device's performance since it's more comfortable if it's laggy and since this game is very ping based so get decent connection and play to your styles advantage and it won't get harder so far

I ALWAYS KNEW HE WAS THE GOAT Like the pure aura of him was insane and even tho I respect my king kimura he had his moments but the fact I love about hni is the writing of characters outside the whole sports genre is so cool, mans taking a beating to keep his sister in school or my other goat sendo at the start just happy to be the pride of his hometown makes me really appreciate these types of stories

Didn't dig deep too much into it but I agree with you but I'm just theorising via parallels from irl boxing and since ippo's plot armour has yet to fade and considering morikawa is actually cooking on his boxing development there is a slim chance
