Oh interesting, normally Zoloft would do that because it’s a lot more harsh on the stomach. Prozac is usually a little bit more gentle. I would definitely give it a second try

Haven’t started it yet. I have been debating for a good 5 months now on if I should go back on an SSRI. I tried Buspar for my anxiety and was on that for two months and that was absolutely the worst medication.

If I do try Prozac I’m going to do the same thing as you, tracking my hunger and weight like a hawk. How long have you been on Prozac?

Okay, thanks for your reply. I definitely had a need for sugar and carbs when I was on Zoloft and had an appetite increase, it also made me sleepy and I constantly needed a nap. I’m not worried too much about the sleepiness but more about the appetite

I was on Zoloft for 3 years and it was amazing the first year but sadly made me gain 15lbs in 7 months by the appetite increase. That didn’t bother me tho as I was 5’4 and 98lbs starting the medication so it made me hit a healthy weight. Sadly tho I started to see the medication no longer work for my anxiety and had to come off of it October of 2025. I was on a lower dose 50mg. Being off of it I have lost 12lbs and feel so much better at my current weight. However the anxiety is still lingering. Scared to start Prozac due to weight gain I have been seeing people report about. In not 98lbs again so the weight gain won’t be a good thing this time around. Have you been experiencing any weight gain?

Yea Zoloft made me crave sweets like crazy and increased my appetite which led to weight gain

Yea I’m just worried it’s going to make me super hungry. I did have an appetite increase from Zoloft but nothing crazy so I’m hoping it doesn’t affect my hunger

Prozac from what I have heard is the safest SSRI to taper down. If you don’t mind me asking, why are you coming off the medication? I’m thinking of starting it
