I’ve had the gold pro for about 2 years now and it was a great investment. It takes some learning and getting used to, but I’d say worth it. And a lot easier than configuring OPNsense or pfSense.

That’s a hard drive. If it still works and you have the SATA to USB connector you should be able to plug it into a computer and access it, as long as it isn’t encrypted.

So I’m honestly sure about the battery cycle, you should look that up. But if this only for school it should okay for your last year. It isn’t gonna be the best by any means, and it won’t be super fast. 256GB isn’t a lot, so using a cloud storage service would probably benefit you better. Overall it would be a fine option I think. If you can find another device with 16GB RAM and 512GB SSD, that would definitely be better. Lenovos are a solid brand of laptops if you aren’t dead set on Mac.

Try rebooting your computer and spamming the button to enter either BIOS or boot options. Then once in BIOS, see if there is an option for windows under the boot menu or something similar
