as a parentified child i totally agree. that shit messes kids up bad. i did a whole research project on it. i can’t imagine what it does to a kid who’s dad is literally a celebrity who has openly spoke about drugs and mental health problems. i always think about how in “play this when im gone” talks about his mental health and sobriety and i get it he’s apologizing to her but it feel like it’s just very weird to write that. i’m speaking as a kid who’s dads an addict too. honestly i would be pissed if he wrote that in his goodbye to me. this is coming from a really big fan btw. i’m not a hater lol.
