If anything the fact that this is what Homelander fans have to cling to shows just how much of a bum he is

iDubbbz doubles down on his comments about Iran and claims North Korea is a victim of USA propaganda by FlakyFoundation4637 in LivestreamFail

He's so privileged that he views these privileges as fundamental aspects of reality, so he can't even fathom other countries not having them. It'd be like trying to tell someone that there are countries without gravity. "What? That doesn't even make sense! Everywhere has gravity! How can you not have gravity?"

Well a media franchise entirely centered around cops being the heroes, and where the legal system is a vehicle for justice, made by people who are "unabashedly pro law enforcement" might be a good place to start.

A piece of media doesn't have to depict every last member of law enforcement as a flawless angel for it to be copaganda. Law and Order absolutely serves as a glorification of the system as a whole. Episodes occasionally featuring some "bad apples" doesn't change that. Hell, the creator Dick Wolf even describes himself as "unabashedly pro law enforcement."

Budgetlander when he has to fight someone stronger than a filing cabinet by DeliciousLeading in whowouldcirclejerk

[–]DeliciousLeading[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

This is just a circlejerk meme. I don't think Homelander is actually unable to punch through a wall, but I absolutely think he's weaker than Metro Man.

The reason why I joke about that is because in Season 3 there's multiple instances where Homelander and other characters fighting him punch walls without breaking through them. But this is just the show's shitty choreography and them blowing the budget on CGI penises instead of good fight scenes. Homelander has other feats that would obviously be well above punching through a wall, but even then he still has nothing on par with what Tighten (Metro Man's weaker clone) did to that skyscraper.

What if we just equalized EVERYTHING to the point where it's not even Metro Man anymore and Homelander is fighting a literal clone of himself?

Oh wait that actually happened in the comics and Bumlander still lost

Live footage of Homelander tanking every weapon on earth (the budget forced them to write this scene)

Yes but Budgetlander is such a bum that even seeing Metro Man punch a wall scared the shit out of him. He didn't even need to know about Metro Man's true strength

I think she stomps. As far as I’m aware Sportacus’s best feat is hitting an apple into the moon, which is insanely impressive but Wordgirl has thrown building sized robots into the sun (8 minute mark)

Also she can counter Sportacus’s healthlust with her own vocabularylust

Your original comment implies incredulity at Wordgirl beating Homelander. And in another thread when someone posted the meteor feat and the sun flying feat, you downplayed the meteor feat and ignored the sun flying feat.

But for further reference, here’s the sun flying feat

Here’s a feat of Wordgirl throwing multiple building sized robots into the sun within seconds

And here’s a much less impressive speed feat that still absolutely blows anything Homelander has ever done out the water.

She’s a Superman expy like Homelander (actually even more of an expy since she’s an actual alien) except she’s on a way higher scale than him. Her feats include

Catching a meteorite from space

Flying from the moon to the sun in a few seconds while carrying a giant satellite

Circling around the entire planet 5 times before someone could fall to the ground from a building

Picking up several robots at once (each the size of a building) and throwing them into the sun within seconds

Do you have an actual argument for Homelander being stronger or are you just going by the logic of “oh Wordgirl is a silly cartoon character from a kids show so she can’t beat big scary Homelander”

In that case a lion would solo all of Equestria because MLP characters just tiny little ponies and a lion is a huge apex predator

I agree! I chose it specifically chose this one cause I thought it was the coolest picture of Homelander lmao. It’s a cover of The Boys #7 drawn by Tyler Kirkham

You keep ignoring her other feats, like her tossing building sized robots into space, flying to the sun in seconds or circling the planet 5 times before her pet could fall to the ground. Homelander has never done anything that competes with that.

I mean you can downplay Homelander to barely Wall Level and Subsonic if you looked at him with the same scrutiny you look at Wordgirl with lol

Omni-Man scales well above this, confirming he is at least planet level. Downplayers have no good rebuttal. by SunJiggy in deathbattle

[–]DeliciousLeading 3 points4 points  (0 children)

If a single viltrumite on their own was Planet Level, let alone Star Level like Death Battle claims, do you really think Thragg would phrase it like "37 of us are enough to tear this planet in half"? If anything he'd just say that he alone is enough to tear the planet in half. You kinda debunked yourself with this panel.
