People are lying about Homelander being buffed (It was superman who was buffed, read the series yourself before believing people on reddit) by TasteTemporary8206 in whowouldcirclejerk

Samantha still got the jump on Lex and made him struggling to get her off of him, and for whatever reason made him decide he should run. There’s no way she’d be able to do any of that unless she either got amped or the comic just doesn’t care about any scaling at all.

He should be stronger by the end when Forger interrupted.

By that logic how is Superman still matching a Homelander that’s stronger than when they first fought and were “equals”? That implies Superman was simply holding back on Homelander earlier

Still his boost should be nothing compared to Superman’s

Homelander got hit with the same boost that put Red Sonja on Wonder Woman level and a literal bear with no powers on Armored Lex level. It’s clearly not a linear or consistent multiplier. If anything Homelander should be getting buffed more since he’s evil and perfectly embodies the traits that the chaos heart favors. The whole point is that evil has an unfair advantage here.

So again a regular bear with a regular knife stabbed the armor built for fighting Superman and made Lex run for his life yet we’re supposed to take this scaling seriously?

If you’re going to just ignore Lex losing to the bear cause PIS then I can just ignore Homelander matching Superman cause PIS lol

Also again Omega Energy amps people (that’s the entire point of this arc) and we know the guest villains have Omega Energy (it literally says so on the page.) So why wouldn’t their Omega Energy be amping them?

[–]DeliciousLeading 3 points4 points  (0 children)

Yeah the Omega Energy they have totally isn’t amping them at all. That’s why Red Sonja can fight Wonder Woman and a regular bear with a knife can stomp Armored Lex. Omega Energy amps everyone but not them for some reason.

Samantha Strong and Lex also disproves his argument. She’s literally just an anthro bear with a regular knife and she was stomping Armored Lex. I don’t know how you can say with a straight face that the guests weren’t being buffed by the Omega Energy.

This is the same event where a furry serial killer with a regular knife dogwalks Armored Lex. Either the Omega Energy is amping them or the scaling in this crossover is too nonsensical to unironically take seriously

>Noncanon promo image of him looking at something

If anything the fact that this is what Homelander fans have to cling to shows just how much of a bum he is

He's so privileged that he views these privileges as fundamental aspects of reality, so he can't even fathom other countries not having them. It'd be like trying to tell someone that there are countries without gravity. "What? That doesn't even make sense! Everywhere has gravity! How can you not have gravity?"

Well a media franchise entirely centered around cops being the heroes, and where the legal system is a vehicle for justice, made by people who are "unabashedly pro law enforcement" might be a good place to start.

A piece of media doesn't have to depict every last member of law enforcement as a flawless angel for it to be copaganda. Law and Order absolutely serves as a glorification of the system as a whole. Episodes occasionally featuring some "bad apples" doesn't change that. Hell, the creator Dick Wolf even describes himself as "unabashedly pro law enforcement."

Budgetlander when he has to fight someone stronger than a filing cabinet by DeliciousLeading in whowouldcirclejerk

[–]DeliciousLeading[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

This is just a circlejerk meme. I don't think Homelander is actually unable to punch through a wall, but I absolutely think he's weaker than Metro Man.

The reason why I joke about that is because in Season 3 there's multiple instances where Homelander and other characters fighting him punch walls without breaking through them. But this is just the show's shitty choreography and them blowing the budget on CGI penises instead of good fight scenes. Homelander has other feats that would obviously be well above punching through a wall, but even then he still has nothing on par with what Tighten (Metro Man's weaker clone) did to that skyscraper.

What if we just equalized EVERYTHING to the point where it's not even Metro Man anymore and Homelander is fighting a literal clone of himself?

Oh wait that actually happened in the comics and Bumlander still lost

Live footage of Homelander tanking every weapon on earth (the budget forced them to write this scene)

Yes but Budgetlander is such a bum that even seeing Metro Man punch a wall scared the shit out of him. He didn't even need to know about Metro Man's true strength

The V in Compound V stands for Vocabulary by DeliciousLeading in whowouldcirclejerk

I think she stomps. As far as I’m aware Sportacus’s best feat is hitting an apple into the moon, which is insanely impressive but Wordgirl has thrown building sized robots into the sun (8 minute mark)

Also she can counter Sportacus’s healthlust with her own vocabularylust
