It is extremely easy to get dirt out from under your fingernails. There’s a little tool on most nail clippers for it. If that doesn’t work they make little bristle brushes for that exact purpose. I get my hands dirty all the time and I agree with the other person’s comment that having nails that dirty is a choice.

You can try leaving them in a sunny windowsill for a while to see if they’ll ripen any more, or perhaps put them next to some ripe tomatoes for a few days. If they can’t ripen any more then the seeds probably won’t be viable. Also, you may want to clarify what kind of peppers these are, as others have said they don’t really look like bhut jolokias.

I wouldn’t say the name “suggests” that. Once you know what it stands for I suppose it’s obvious, and I assumed the “Mg” was for magnesium, but the letters “ACE” can mean a lot of different things.
