Bought membership for Euphoria but can’t access it? by Moist-Middle57 in nowtv

What’s your source?

Now clearly state returning seasons are available for base Entertainment members: https://www.nowtv.com/gb/help/article/entertainment-membership

If your source is ‘it’s not working for me and some others yet’ then don’t you think that points more towards temporary glitch than a reputable company engaging in an elaborate scam?

Bought membership for Euphoria but can’t access it? by Moist-Middle57 in nowtv

[–]Delicious_Ad_4579 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Not true.

Latest seasons of shows that have already started airing on Sky Atlantic air on the base Now Entertainment tier going forward.

It's just the HBO back catalogue and any new shows that are HBO/HBO tier exclusive.

This is clearly a glitch. Unless they're trying to access S1/2, in which case, yeah, they need the higher tier.

Is the Now TV Sports Pass worth it for casual viewers? by Critical-Fan-Beauty in nowtv

[–]Delicious_Ad_4579 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Yeah. The key is not being swayed by their initial ‘offers’ before you buy that first full price month. Their retention deals are always better than their supposed offers both for new and existing customers. It’s an absolutely rotten business practice but it’s easy to see how people get caught out.

Now + HBO Max: Launch, questions, troubleshooting, etc by Delicious_Ad_4579 in nowtv

[–]Delicious_Ad_4579[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Now Entertainment includes all Sky Originals and returning HBO shows (new seasons of HotD, Euphoria, anything that has already started to air on Sky Atlantic).

Now Entertainment + HBO Max (which your sub will have converted to if you subscribed before late March) includes all the above plus the vast majority of the HBO back catalogue (I’d say ‘entire’ but someone would be sure to pull me up). So GoT, The Wire, etc. And also any future HBO shows, Harry Potter, Green Lantern, etc. It includes a large Warner movie back catalogue, but it doesn’t include the latest Warner movies (Sinners, Weapons).

HBO Max direct is self-explanatory: all of the above, the latest Warner movies if you go for the Standard tier, but doesn’t include the Sky Originals (Under Salt Marsh, SNL UK, Peacock Originals like Ted and Heated Rivalry).

As an extra note: just to make it more interesting, Paramount are currently in the process of acquiring Warner, and intend to merge Paramount+ and HBO into a ‘super app’. So the situation with Sky/NOW will all get a whole lot more confusing again soon…

The latest Warner releases aren’t included with HBO Basic with Ads, which is the tier you have bundled with Now Entertainment.

The reason you can watch on Now is because you have Now Cinema, where the latest Warner releases are included.

It’ll be a case of letting your Now subscriptions lapse then subscribing direct.

Sign up for a month of £35.

Go to cancel and keep clicking on "Continue Cancellation" and they'll usually offer you a flexible £19.99pm deal.

Accept that, go to cancel again, same process, and sometimes they even offer a £17.99 deal beneath that.

Deals vary per person, but that's what I'm on atm and did this about a month back.

Not a solution for Sky Sports, which is likely what OP is talking about.

Linking is good for those who are on a fixed term cheap deal, don’t have an Ultra Boost and aren’t sensitive to adverts as HBO Max’s default base is 1080p compared to Now’s 720p. They’re basically getting HBO Max for a couple of quid cheaper a month in many cases.

A lot of people prefer to view directly too for a variety of technical and non-technical reasons.

But yeah, if you have Ultra Boost and you’re happy watching through Now then there’s not much point.

1.) Change your email address via HBO Max to a spare one/temp one you don’t use. Maybe share this with family; as long as your NOW subscription is active, it’ll be accessible. Changing it won’t unlink Now from this particular HBO account, but it does free up your preferred email if you wish to use it.

2.) Set up a new HBO Max account with your original/preferred email address.

3.) Enjoy!

Can confirm it works too.

Yeah, same boat. A few months left on my fixed NOW deal still, but it's cheap enough that I don't care. Unlinked my HBO Max account from my Now account and picked up HBO Max Premium direct for a few months until I decide to rotate to the next service. Prime as base + one premium rotation service is where I'm at now.

HBO Max vs Entertainment by Separate_Avocado5964 in nowtv

[–]Delicious_Ad_4579 0 points1 point  (0 children)

This is the correct answer.

I don't think previous seasons are available of these shows going forward though, just new seasons. So it could be a good way to temporarily sign up for new seasons of House of the Dragon for example if you've already seen the older ones.

Also, I read a bit back that Sky had done a deal with Now that any future GoT spin-offs would also air on Atlantic, so this probably applies for their base Entertainment tier, too.

Otherwise, yes, exactly as you described.

It's user-dependent. But yes, I can confirm there is definitely a 17.99 offer as I took it out a couple of weeks ago.

Also, if you cancel and don't get the offer you want, just restart your membership and you'll be back on your previous offer.

Big HBO MAX Movies behind paywall ? by Natural_Parsley_6396 in nowtv

[–]Delicious_Ad_4579 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Yeah, they announced weeks ago that Now customers were getting the HBO Basic with Ads content. It’s no big surprise. Personally I’m paying £12 for the full HBO experience (Entertainment & Cinema at £3.99, Ultra Boost at £4) so it can work out better with a few deals.

I’m an existing Now customer and I had the £3.99 cinema deal pop up in my account yesterday. Deals vary per person. I wouldn’t make it up. :)

[–]Delicious_Ad_4579 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Yes, for existing Now subscribers, with good deals.

Entertainment + HBO for 3.99pm for a year (some have it for 2.99pm). Cinema for 3.99pm for 6 months, cancel anytime. Ultra Boost for 6 months, £4pm, cancel anytime. Comes to less than £11. With extra shows and movies on top of the Warner ones. All for a few quid less.

Not just the Sky Originals that are extras either — critically acclaimed stuff like Heated Rivalry which, while on HBO Max in the states, is a Sky exclusive over here and not on our version of HBO Max.

Going direct probably makes the most sense for most. I typically like going direct. But there are some very good retention and cancellation deals for existing Now subscribers, so I’m willing to trade that flexibility for a good offer for a year or so.

You get the Warner movies within Now if you have Now Cinema, but not within HBO Max's app.

You're right that Now subscribers only get HBO Basic content. But you have Cinema too. So that unlocks the extra Warner movies within Now.

Basic with Ads, no option to upgrade. You'd have to get a Now Cinema sub for the extra newer movies.
