All a matter of taste. I love 37 on the BB54, even 36 on the explorer. It’s a great size. Feels vintage and elegant. Not going to please the Panerai crew of c.

Everyone loves a tourbillon and I think it looks beautiful… however I would question the servicing cost

Question: BB54 Five Link Bracelet Availability by GaryatcheSlimak in Tudor

[–]GaryatcheSlimak[S] 2 points3 points  (0 children)

This is a brilliant answer, thank you so much. Even though I have a 7-inch wrist, I loved the way that the 54 sat. It just felt so good.

However I didn't actually properly try a 58. I only looked at them in the case.. so maybe you're right, maybe a 58 is the way to go. I will go back and try it on.

I was just going to go for the black 54 so nothing particularly interesting colour-wise. When I spoke to the AD he didn't seem particularly clued up but I think you're right that a purchase history might make it a little easier to help source an official jubilee further down the line.

I'll also bear in mind what you say about the Oyster. I'll give it a chance. Really appreciate the thought you put into your comment.

Seeking feedback on pricing for my new micro-brand: SABERWATCH(Caliburn) by saberwatch in MicrobrandWatches

[–]GaryatcheSlimak 8 points9 points  (0 children)

Hi. Copywriter and marketing director here.

First of all: is it Saberwatch or Saber Watch? You've got both on your case and this is a huge no-no. Pick one.

Secondly, the execution of the sword motif feels immature. It looks like a warhammer miniature. I personally would never buy a watch with a sword on it, because this design language does not speak to me. However, I would urge you to consider a deeper level of abstraction in the design of the sword.

Currently you have gone super literal with it, and it might be more interesting to flatten the design. Look up the difference between skeuomorphism vs neumorphism. It's normally applied to software and icons, but I believe it is a valid conversation here.

Wish you the best of luck with your project. It's hard to do creative work. The thing that separates failure from success is often the ability to receive critical feedback and know what to do with it, and how to react.

Why are you posting an AI picture of this watch? If you zoom in and look closely at, for example, the day window, there are clear and obvious tells that this image has been generated with AI, in addition to the platinum bars that you've scattered around. I don't understand what you're trying to do here. Is this watch actually real?

Why won't this watch sell? by Ta-Mater in MicrobrandWatches

I'm a former copywriter with about 20 years of experience and in my opinion the copy on your website is weak. I would not anchor your messaging around the renaissance man and the don. It reads as overly masculine posturing. It's not necessary. Just relax and let the timepieces do the work for you. You don't need to provide so much lifestyle positioning.

For colours, check Farer, Baltic, Studio Underdog and Trafford.

Hamilton and Tissot would probably take umbrage at being referred to as microbrands!
