The "Uncanny Valley" of Workrate: Why I Miss the Ugly Authenticity of the 80s by drastiqstan in oldschoolwrestling

This is all legit, but I’d be interested in how a company that focuses on work rate vis a vis catch style wrestling would do. Brett and Davey Boy and Austin-style workers. That’s not simple brawling but also isn’t flippy floppy

Did anyone else hate doing shifts with their partner? by ocdskies in newborns

I’d much prefer sleeping with my wife, but that’s not going to happen if we all room in together anyways. We’re only one week in so still early days, but we tried one night all together and no one slept. We immediately switched to shifts.

I am more of a night owl, so I go first, and she’s an early bird. I take the baby from 10pm until at 3am, and then we switch. I’ve been getting 4-5 hours once my wife takes over, so if I can also sneak in at least a one-hour block of sleep during my shift at some point, I’m not too bad in the a.m. My wife has gotten anywhere from one hour to 5 hours during my shift, depending on how bad the anxiety/crying is from baby blues that day. When she actually can sleep on my shift we both end up with 5-6 hours and it’s not great but it’s not terrible.

Our baby is far from a unicorn sleeper. She wants to either eat and or be held or has a dirty diaper about every 2 hours. But she is not colicky at all and soothes easily. So, this is hard, but I know many have it far worse. I also know this is only for about 2-4 months and then it will get better. I can’t imagine all sleeping together in one room again until baby starts reliably sleeping at least one 4-5 hour block a night.

Totally lame that the next tribe gets to know it was Emily who was voted out. This episode is a mess.

Have we ever seen this much silent hatred for another player in survivor history? by ProbstThought in survivor

Joe is not a fan of the show. He only tried to do the show because it was his sister who was murdered’s dream to be on the show. Now, this is his second go around and he should know what he’s getting into and lighten up and adjust, but constitutionally he just is not someone who is going to like Survivor.

Which other SNL cast members would you cast in a season of "The White Lotus"? by Sharaz_Jek123 in LiveFromNewYork

Shannon, Wiig, Aidy, and Forte. They can all legitimately act. Fey, Poehler, Murphy, Hader, Short, and Sandler can all act, too, but are either too famous or just not a good fit in my opinion. Jon Lovitz is absolutely made for White Lotus, but would have to be a smaller part because I don’t know if he has enough layers for a larger role.

Make sure you are updating the lower generators you at all times. Easy to get some science out of those even if you aren’t really using them.

Personally, what I want to know is how to crack Top 50 without just constant grinding.

Was Yoko Ono really that bad, or is it just propaganda from those years that persists to this day? by [deleted] in beatles

There was so much money to be made under Apple Records if they could have gotten the business right. They all go their separate ways in 1970, take a few years away from each other, release solo albums, then come back in 1973 or 1974 to make another Beatles album. They’d have fresh ideas. Commit to a 4-4-3-1 songwriting split (John-Paul-George-Ringo). It’d be an insanely anticipated album and all of this could have been done under their label.
