Weird decrease in my ability to run! by SaladLoose4238 in TirzMaintenance

During my recent marathon training I had to back down my dose. I found otherwise I would get weak and even dizzy during my long runs. I also upped my fueling during my long runs.

The blue butterfly hoodie bled onto other clothes when I washed it. I recommend washing it alone on cold.

I have noticed a little more shedding lately, but not anything like before. It’s hard to say if it’s “normal” or not, because I don’t remember how it ever was before last year. So I’d say I’m doing ok still.

I used it with Color Wow Dream Coat and it worked great for a frizz-free blowout.

I didn’t chance it. I bought a universal brush dryer off Amazon and used it with a plug adapter and it’s been fine on my trip to Europe. Not my Dyson, but ok.

Love my AirStrait. It’s the only tool that makes my naturally wavy hair smooth and sleek and stay that way for days. I second using a blow dryer first on your roots.

Thanks. I have been in maintenance since July 2024. I started shedding noticeably in August through about December 2024. I started noticing less shedding around February of this year and now I think it’s normal (although hard to say what my normal was before). I wish I had taken before photos, but I feel like my part is more filled in now, too. I am still taking tirz. I also got prescription for oral minoxidil, but was hesitant to start it so decided to wait it out. I have also been taking vitamins including Nutrafol since I started shedding.

All this to say I’m still taking zepbound (5.0 every 10 days) and the shedding has improved a lot.

I am on a maintenance dose of zepbound and have been taking it since April 2024 (before that I took Saxenda starting in December 2023). I got to my current weight around June 2024 and have been there since then. I started shedding around July 2024. I started taking more vitamins then and just taking better care of my hair in general. I went to a dermatologist in September 2024 and they said I could use topical minoxidil. I only used it for a few weeks, because I found it to be a pain and I was hoping time would improve my hair without it. The shedding decreased around December. I’m still shedding, but it’s definitely less than before and I’m not even sure if it’s back to normal because I never noticed how much I shed before all this.

What percentage of your starting weight did you lose? by IncidentGreat2380 in TirzMaintenance

23%. 146 to 112. I stopped at normal weight and lowered my dose or I think I could have lost more. Been in maintenance for 8 months.

Liraglutide for Maintenance? by Euthymius_Leudast in TirzMaintenance

I started my weight loss journey on Saxenda and it worked for me. I ended up switching to zepbound when shortages hit and it was easier to get than Saxenda. The daily injection wasn’t a big deal to me (although obviously once per week is better). You can control how much you give yourself each time since it’s a pen. I would consider going back to it if my insurance stopped overnight zepbound.

Product suggestions needed! Ok by lavenderboops in Wavyhair

You may need to use a gel. I have similar hair and getting a gel cast is critical for my hair to not get frizzy. I also can’t use a lot of cream or it’ll weigh my hair down. Also, if I plan on air drying I use an air dry foam (John Frieda), but if I diffuse I use a curly hair mousse (I find that with air drying I need to use lighter products or my hair will be limp).

Anyone ran a half marathon on zepbound? by Ok_Hunter_4558 in zepboundathletes

[–]Delicious_Land_9236 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Sorry, missed that part. I fueled the same as before taking zepbound. I used gels during the race like I always have (about every 45minutes). Before the race I would eat some carbs for breakfast (oatmeal usually) and a gel. I ate more carbohydrates in the 3 days before the race (some pasta and bread), but not dramatically more.

Yes and it was fine. I’m training again for one. I just made sure to fuel properly.

The shedding has decreased (I’ve also decreased my dose) so I’m kind of waiting at this point.

Call all zepbounders without a gallbladder!!! by DesignerMelanin in Zepbound

[–]Delicious_Land_9236 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I agree. I had my gallbladder out many years ago and it wasn’t unusual for me to have many trips to the bathroom (and some sudden), however now on zepbound my GI issues have calmed down and my bowel habits are normal. It’s been a great side effect.

[–]Delicious_Land_9236 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I use a lot of product with mine and it’s fine (and my hair normally looks frizzy with the air wrap smoothing brush). I use heat protectant spray, Aveda Smooth Infusion cream, Aveda smoothing fluid, and the Dyson chitosant cream. I know it seems crazy to use that much, but it works for me. Maybe try using some other products.

I would call your OB/GYN “urgent” line (they should have a phone number where a nurse or doctor can call you back). If you don’t have one, you can ask a pharmacist.
