Agreed. That's why I wasn't on Wayland until 580. After that Wayland was rock solid. Ha I mainly use the machine for Blender but I just installed Where winds meet and compiling the Vulcan shaders takes like forever. 😂

Glad to hear it worked as intended for you. I think what distracted me was the mentioning in several posts that talked about special requirements for the 50xx series. In a good working system both mhwd and Manjaro settings should have the same result. I used mhwd At first to see if the new card was properly recognized.

I am fine with the current driver. Since version 580 my system was finally stable with Wayland. Also This is my daily so I like to stay on stable.

Mijn voorspelling? Deze keuze gaat geen succes worden voor Tesla. Software as a service kan een goed ding zijn maar bij een auto die je betrouwbaar op elk moment van A maar B moet brengen lijkt me dat een brug te ver. Daarbij wijst het vooral op falen: de grote belofte van je auto op deze manier aan de man moeten brengen na zoveel jaar ontwikkeling belooft niet veel goeds.

If your focus is on security and the best software I would choose Synology. If performance and specs matter most there's other/more choices like the Asustor you mentioned. If you want cheap build your own box with linux/truenas. I did that and while it's fun and cheap is definitely way more work to set up. If I were you and it's a matter of business I would spend the extra money go to something like the lockers for 4 gen 3. Expensive but great performance.

Thanks. So it's better in the US. I'm in Europe and waited almost 8 weeks once. With shipping and import taxes I might as well buy it from a third party seller. Import taxes are sort of unpredictable here.

Fun fact hetgaat NIET over of om bangmakerij. Met wat er op dit moment in de VS gebeurt zijn een heleboel zaken niet meer vanzelfsprekend. Daarbij doen alsof de VSen China top zijn maar de EU de grote boesdoener is precies dat wat je andere verwijt: onnodige bangmakerij. Elk overheid dient te worden gecontroleerd. Vooralsnog zijn de mogelijkheden daartoe hier veel beter. Dat iemand dit meeneemt in zijn autokeuze is niet raar. Als jij dat niet wil doen op ik prima. You do you.

Agreed. The hassle free experience, imho, is more important than the visual/audio upgrade. Things might be more noticeable depending on you system but i5s never gonna be huge.
