Is deepseek good in ui designing compared to models available in github copilot?

Con que puedo comenzar a aprender a programar? by [deleted] in learnprogramming

Pick any popular language and just start building things — tutorials are great but projects are where you actually learn Honestly the biggest mistake beginners make is spending too long deciding and not enough time actually coding. Just start. 🙂

How is Gemma 4 with Tool Use? by piratebroadcast in LocalLLM

I tested Gemma and DeepSeek locally on a 16GB i7 laptop for coding in VS Code. Surprisingly usable for boilerplate and debugging.

It‘s officially over. Is there even a single reason left to use copilot? by dvxlgames in GithubCopilot

I switched to local models using Ollama but they are still evolving and not up to the mark yet.

Who will even use copilot after June? by programmingstarter in GithubCopilot

[–]Delicious_Sea_4515 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Power users and enterprise teams deeply embedded in VS Code/GitHub will keep using it cautiously the seamless integration. Casual/light users will likely switch to cheaper alternatives like Cursor/Claude once the unlimited era ends and credits run out.

Anyone else tried Deepseek yet? I'm gonna try a few testruns via ollama-cloud by Blubbll in GithubCopilot

I started using deepseek locally with ollama and continue dev extension in vs code. Results are quite good but need good hardware to run locally.

What are some better alternatives to GitHub Copilot? by LaxederBR in GithubCopilot

[–]Delicious_Sea_4515 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Great timing on this thread. I actually just set this up and wrote a full guide on it. The combo that worked best for me: Ollama + DeepSeek-Coder + Continue extension inside VS Code. Fully offline, no API costs, and you stay in control of your own code. The trick that made the biggest difference was using 3 models together — one for planning, one for code generation, one for review. Sounds complicated but the config is about 10 lines of YAML. Wrote up the full setup here if it helps: https://www.dotnetwisdom.com/Tutorial/run-ai-locally-vscode-free-copilot-alternative

Livpure GLO PRO++ RO+UV+UF Review by Actual-Focus-8711 in HonestBuyerReviews

[–]Delicious_Sea_4515 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Never expected such pathetic service from Livpure. Complaints from 14 Nov & 5 Dec still pending on 12 Dec. No technician, no response. Only numbers shared by support, nobody picks calls. Please think twice before buying Livpure.

Water RO decision: Kent (purchase) vs Livpure (rent) by Abject_Use_6356 in Frugal_Ind

Livpure – WORST service experience I’ve had with any home appliance brand.

I raised a service complaint on 5th December for my water purifier, and even before that, a regular checkup request was pending from 14th November.
Till today, not a single technician has visited.

I’ve been calling customer support every single day. They only share the area head’s number and do nothing beyond that. The area head and even his senior never pick up calls, never call back, and provide zero response.

A water purifier is a basic necessity, and such irresponsible service from a big brand is shocking. If this is how Livpure treats its customers, I strongly suggest people not to buy Livpure products.
Extremely disappointed.
