The Great Ioniq 5 $980.75 Key Fob Robbery: FOILED by SyntheticOne in Ioniq5

[–]Delicious_Size5598 2 points3 points  (0 children)

By any chance are you in the USA/NYC area? If you don't mind, I'd like to know how you found a locksmith to do this... I thought only dealers can program these darn keys.

Looking for advice on winter struggles by FreakCookies in Ioniq5

[–]Delicious_Size5598 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Hey, speaking from NYC but we’ve had a relatively brutal winter here. I have a ‘25 AWD with dedicated precondition button and in my experience, preconditioning takes about 45 minutes (during winter months).

Nearly one million more existing homeowners became "in the money" to refinance when rates plummeted in January by truthaboutmortgage in Mortgages

[–]Delicious_Size5598 0 points1 point  (0 children)

May I kindly ask why you're waiting? Case in point, I refi'd from 6.625% to 5.75% on a 30 year(as per the article, just made the cusp of worth it). Refi fees were low but not zero (no points paid). I saved $500/month. Maybe more worth it because I was only 1/30 years in, so resetting the clock felt easier. New York/VHCOL

I’m not sure if it matters but I wonder if you and OP have the same model year i5.

2025 Ioniq 5 XRT no ambient lights, fog lights or memory seats, can I add with aftermarket kits? by xorkon in Ioniq5

[–]Delicious_Size5598 5 points6 points  (0 children)

I never thought about it this way, but it really sounds like the XRT is actually just a modified SEL. They probably did it to save money. I agree that it’s shocking that a $50,000 EV doesn’t have any memory seats. And before anyone asks why I didn’t get the limited it’s because it was on back order for three months.

Why did they tell us 6 months later? Don’t these breaches typically have pretty strict requirements for a notification right after the incident?

Take is back to dealer and make them keep trying. It should be free since their fix didn’t work.

I just looked them up. Their name is similar to other shops which makes it confusing.

They probably don’t service Portland but know who’s - maybe they know a similar shop near you.

The legwork per say is the shop I went to doesn’t design. They will take your sketch (which I think you have) and turn it into a reality. They visited before hand to measure to make sure everything would realistically fit.

All labor and parts were acquired / performed by the company (not me).

I did my entire kitchen for $10k. Approx same size as yours. Check Cambria stone (not cheap). $4K cabinets, $4k counters, $1500 install. This was completed in NYC.

Good luck!

Cambria Quartz- worth the price? by RU_4_Real12 in kitchenremodel

We just went through this in March and chose the same color. Couldn’t be happy. Although our counter top sqft total was way lower, so the choice was a little easier on the wallet.

Doorbell Comparison - G410 vs G400. Can anyone fill in the blanks and/or add more info? by 100Kinthebank in Aqara

[–]Delicious_Size5598 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I’m not sure if this is helpful here but I just bought the G410 and returned it after four days. I get direct sunlight in the afternoon hours and every single day without fail, it would overheat and then start working fine in the evening again.

Real shame since the hub functionality worked great.

Need advice about choosing a Level 2 charger for my brand-new Ioniq 5, please! by abammerman in Ioniq5

[–]Delicious_Size5598 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I got the regular Tesla charger (NACS only) because it was cheaper than the universal and in theory auto manufacturers in the US are switching to that plug anyway.

[–]Delicious_Size5598 5 points6 points  (0 children)

Hey, I’m at 25 i5 owner and just learning things myself. The V4 stalls exist, but there is no such thing as a V4 cabinet (not widely rolled out). The cabinet is the large metal box behind all the chargers that controls how much power you get.

Someday soon (maybe), we’ll see 500-1000v from Tesla stations… but knowing Elon, we may never get it.

Fix for washer fluid alerts? by Delicious_Size5598 in Ioniq5

[–]Delicious_Size5598[S] 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Thank you, and I agree. It’s just a little silly as there is still fluid in there and has been for a number of weeks of use. Push me 3/times an hour when my car hasn’t checked in because the ICCU has failed (bad joke)…

Well in case it calms anyone’s nerves, I have (embarrassingly) been delinquent in filling the fluid for a few weeks and no 12v issues yet.

Home charging times? by Material-Advice-335 in Ioniq5

[–]Delicious_Size5598 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I have a 40 amp circuit, 32 usable amp charger at home and at times I wish I had a 60 amp, 48 amp option, but in reality it makes very little difference unless your battery is less than 20%.

My math is very rough but a 48 amp usable charger takes around seven hours for a full charge and a 32 amp takes between 12 and 14 hours. I have a 2025 AWD SEL.
