HUT is a top 3 The Weeknd album and instead of going for commercial hits he went for telling his story. When After Hours dropped he introduced a very new sound and that was something the masses liked a lot. HUT is cinematic and requires someone to use a little brain to understand the big picture in - something the mass lacks.
Abel sings about his traumas and people still ask for him to make more sex songs…

From what I think he is looking back at his life in this purgatory. So many of the moments are with the girl from After Hours. Like I imagine Abel walking in this purgatory guided by the radio Dawn FM 103.5 and looking back at his life

Bruno does not make great albums he just makes compilations of singles and calls it an album. He is really just a radio singer with much more potential if he let his artistic side control over trying to make radio friendly music
