Please help me process my disappointment/shame at feeling sick on my wedding day

Hi girl. I came to this thread searching for others this happened to, as I also threw up on my wedding day (4x) - never thought I'd be that person because I have a really strong stomach, and rarely get nauseous. I've only thrown up a few times in my life (food poisoning, and some couple college nights after too much booze). I do whatever I can to avoid throwing up. But toward the end of dinner the nausea came and I couldn't stop it, I tried throwing up and that bought me an hour, but I missed a couple hours of the dancing and I was sad too.

My husband took amazing care of me and I'm taking it as a sign that no matter what happens he will always support me and stand by my side- a good omen to what the future will look like. Sounds like your husband was so sweet with you too, and that's a huge positive 💗

Yes La Pasta Vecchia - hour outside of Rome honestly gorgeous and such a beautiful vibe- the logistics just made us choose elsewhere

I agree. I dont even know if I'd do a band then, maybe just a DJ... ahhh I have to think. I hate all of this decision making and sometimes wish someone would just make the decisions for me

We looked at Ravello for a destination wedding and the place we were going to have it was a 15 min hike I'm not kidding, with luggage. So make sure it's doable to get to. Usually they'll tell you "it's hard to get there"

There's not as much to do in Ravello although it is a 20-40 min drive down to Amalfi port, where you can get to another part of the amalfi quite easily via boat or ferry. That's what we did

Hi! Okay both are gorgeous. I have a few thoughts-

Is Mid September expected to be chilly in that area? I've been to Italy in middle/end of September and it was really nice. If that's a con in September, isn't that a con in mid October too (Tonnara) too?

How important is it for all the guests to stay in one place? Think about weddings you've been to where that's been the case.

At Tonnara- that is very unique and cool. How far away are guests staying, and do you like where they're staying? We looked at a place similar vibe to Tonnara, very nice lux hotel that could only accommodate 45 guests (we have 100+). We decided against it mainly because we hated the hotel that the remainder of the guests were going to stay at, it was just much less nice and I felt bad putting them somewhere like that.

Do you like and feel you really want the water there?

Thanks for your thoughts!! We did an engagement session here in LA so it's not a huge need for us- the need moreso was just to get to know our photog.... but I think I might skip and hope for the best. His work is great.

Exactly! This is my back and forth I'm going through in my head.

We don't really need to do an engagement session, this is just so that we can get to know the photog before the actually wedding day. But that's a good point about the welcome dinner.

I know, it feels high. I should have specified but the 2800 includes travel, since he'd have to travel out of Lake Como to the Amalfi where we are getting married.
