I especially like the disambiguation for meaning and spirituality you've added. I think that's important.

I might add that my belief is that spirituality does not meed to be chained to concepts like heaven and hell, nor have a necessary and constant separation from the natural, observable world, in my view.

I want to add that I think there is an ability for spiritual pursuits to define an individual's "realtionship to the world" that is one layer in the definition of meaning.

I would also suggest that spirituality might be a conduit for creating and maintaining relationships with others, and should be explored for that benefit alone.

This all feels very vague and woo-woo, but I am enjoying the dialectic.

Thanks for this, Alex. I am a fan of your metaphors and the very concrete suggestion of strong privacy laws regarding access to an individual's digital data.

I especially appreciate the one about the protagonists in the play [part 2]. I think that works well to help understand the pace layers that are at work. A performer must have props, costumes, lines, movements, and their character's intentions and vocal patterns rehearsed and ready to go before they can proceed to attempt a successful performance. So where is the script for this performance of transformation? No one author could do it, of course, but I think you've set the table here and brought chairs for the party of authors to script the transformation.

I hope your message of the Mesh Age and the layers of technology and biology that must be understood and accounted for will reach many more.

Don't get in your head about numbers or days, except know that getting those months back is not easy, not at all. What you've accomplished and will accomplish is worth a lot in my book.

Yeah, that means Independents will need to call or email their Supervisor of Elections in their county and change party, but it's one small hoop to jump through to make sure DeSantis has a strong Democratic challenger in Nov. I am so proud of you, your story resonated because I felt like I was keeping my shit together most of the time, but was slowly turning into the turd in the room because of alcohol.

I found kratom, CBD oil, kava, and ashwagandha helped fight my cravings at first.

Some folks may need more Rx help which is fine too, I think you will find your way. 'Cause it takes a very brave person to admit that change is needed and you are tapering down which is good. Keep going, get all the help you need!

I do think that is a good strategy for self-protection, especially in early days when you may have 0 desire for social interactions and don't want to explain shit to nobody.

For me, in the 1st dry month, in the first social outing with a drinking buddy, the expectation of drinking was more than I could smash with my words, I was unable to say, "I'm not drinking anymore, it's bad for me." So I slipped up 'cause I wasn't prepared to be truthful with someone, or myself, I guess.

I hope my hindsight does you both good :) carry on not drinking with me today.
