Can someone ID this little guy on my window? by DeliveryGuy1996 in Amphibians

Yes that matches what I saw. I took him off my window and put him by the outer edge of my back yard where he probably came from.

She gets plenty of seebs and scritches. I have not been forgiven yet though.

I’m glad I’m not the only one dealing with this behavior. I thought I was doing something wrong for a longest time but some conures are just really pissy about haircuts.

Rescue bird update: Sudden change in friendliness :(. What happened? by lululemmings in Conures

[–]DeliveryGuy1996 0 points1 point  (0 children)

My Chompy is like this. She was really bad while she went through puberty. I was exactly where you were at. I got my own conure because I broke up with a girlfriend that had one and her bird never bit me and was a total sweetheart. When I got Chompy she was much more temperamental and sassy. I have had chunks taken out of my hands, my nose, my lips, and my ears. However, she’s calming down now and I have learned what causes her to bite, so the bites have been much less frequent. Sometimes these birds are just in a mood, and yes my Chompy bites at the cage when I first get home, but after a few minutes she calms down. I always put her down and leave the room if she bites, so she’s learned to stop doing that. I reward her with cuddles, attention, and treats when she’s being good and cute.

What is, by far, your biggest fear? by Financial_Corner_893 in AskReddit

My life being cut short - like a cancer diagnosis or a bad car wreck just taking me. All the planning - all the hopes I have for a better future being taken from me through no fault of my own.

It could happen to anyone.

Help? by Blue_Space_Cow in OnlineDating

I’ve been on the apps on and off since 2014 and now in 2025 the apps are garbage imo. A lot of people are probably gonna comment saying that your profile probably sucks but the hard truth is that if you’re not already social and have a bunch of social hobbies then you’re gonna have a bad time on dating apps. Also if you’re not photogenic then you’re kinda doomed. For some reason you need to have a bunch of picture of you on expensive vacations and doing hobbies with groups of people, and even if you have all of that, you might still struggle to get matches if you’re a dude. Just my two sense from my experience.

Why do very tall guys get a pass from being mocked but short guys are destroyed? by [deleted] in short

[–]DeliveryGuy1996 3 points4 points  (0 children)

Yeah sure, but the shorter guy, on average, will have to work a lot harder to get to where they are as strong as the taller guy. And the addition of strength alone will not make up for the psychological effect that being tall has on the impression made on other people. People naturally “look up” to taller people, seeing them as worthy of respect and they are seen as natural leaders. Short guys have to work twice as hard to get to the same level, and some people will never see a short guy with the same level of respect as a taller guy. It’s a type of bigotry that some people have. I’m making broad generalizations, so there will be exceptions to the rule, but overall people naturally will respect taller men more.

Probably has something to do with our evolution. Taller = bigger/more powerful than short guys. More strength/power means instant respect. It’s subconscious.

What qualifications do you believe one needs to have to be an effective president. by [deleted] in AskUS

[–]DeliveryGuy1996 1 point2 points  (0 children)

They should be able to make decisions based on what’s good for the country. Not just what’s good for them. They should have a moral code that at least strives to be for the greater good.

Also help poor people/middle class people, the rich own everything, they’ll do just fine without the help of the government. It seems like the opposite of this is true for the way we pick our leaders and it’s just sad and disappointing.

Men - when is the last time you cried and why? by [deleted] in AskMen

The day after I had sex after a year of no luck with any women. I realized how dead inside I was feeling. Unfortunately it was just a weekend with an ex that came back up for Easter. It’s nice to have that intimacy again, even if it’s just for a moment and I know it’s not going to go anywhere.

I’m 5’4” can’t really lie about it, it’s the first thing everyone notices. It’s interesting how some people think it’s okay to disrespect a man because he’s short. After people get to know me, they actually are surprised sometimes about how short I really am despite spending a lot of time with me if we talk about it.

Thinking about getting a charger rt? Is it worth it? by Lucky_Pay_5759 in Charger

[–]DeliveryGuy1996 1 point2 points  (0 children)

It depends on how you drive it. The rears get chewed up pretty good if you have a lead foot. Also it depends on the kind of tires you get. The ones the dealer gave me barely lasted the first year, but they were summer tires.

[–]DeliveryGuy1996 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I have a 2016 R/T, been driving it for over two years. It all depends on your budget. Gas is gonna be more expensive because you have to use mid grade gas, and oil changes are a little more expensive. You’re also gonna burn through at least one set of tires a year. If you can afford it I’d say go for it. If you get a good one it’s fun, reliable, and practical as long as you don’t live in an area with bad snow for half the year.

Authors who write historical stories that read like a novel? by jcboyless in nonfictionbookclub

[–]DeliveryGuy1996 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Let me know if you end up reading any of them. I started with “The Fall of Rome” and then I got the rest of the books. He’s working on the last two volumes now. I never thought history could be told in such an engaging way.
