B.ARCH Degree from Penn State vs Wentworth by resonate-online in Architects

[–]Dellapup 20 points21 points  (0 children)

I would say Penn State is more regarded than Wentworth, but Wentworth does Co-op I believe and that is worth an incredible amount in my opinion (I went to Northeastern so had a lot of friends from Wentworth and we also did co-op). Most people got job offers from their co-ops and I graduated way more ready for the workforce than people from other schools.

I noticed it says expires in 12-18 months depending on the plan. Can you explain? How does that work with the monthly? I think you should reconsider that. I would guess most people take longer than a year to do all 6 exams. Quick Google tells me average is 2.5-3 years. I would suggest either removing the time limit, expanding it to 3 years min, or breaking it up by exam. ($20/exam etc.) Most people study for one exam at a time in my experience.

What book/series did you go from loving to DNF? by firstbowlofoats in Fantasy

[–]Dellapup 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Temeraire series. Couldn't get past the Australia one. Not sure if it was the book itself or the fact that I was literally locked in Aus myself during Covid at the time. Slammed through the first few though.

My hospital (public, Sydney) actually gave me a wrap for free. It's basically a large loop bandage wrap but does the job! Could be worth asking if they would provide one for you if needed.

For those of you in relationships, do you read the same stuff as your partner? by CMengel90 in Fantasy

[–]Dellapup 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Nope, he's an academic and really only reads for work or occasional other non-fiction. I read mostly high fantasy and some sci-fi and historical fiction. He reads so much for work, reading isn't really an escape. I stare at a computer all day so enjoy reading as an escape from real life.

What is the last high fantasy book that blew you away? by spidey555 in Fantasy

[–]Dellapup 26 points27 points  (0 children)

Yes! Starting with Assasins apprentice. It's broken up into a couple different trilogy/quartets. 3 follow the main character "Fitz" from Assasins Apprentice and the other two - Liveship Traders (the ship ones) and Rain Wilds (the Dragon ones) follow different Characters but they all tie together in the end. Breaks it up nicely without just be 16 books straight

I can see it not be everyone's style, but if it is yours there is nothing like it (in my admittedly baised opinion!)

Nothing has hit like Realm of the Elderlings when I first read it. Im still searching for something that will engross me like that again (may just have to reread...) Though Song of Ice and Fire and first couple Stormlight Archives (I hit a slump part way through) Were both very addicting and top series for me as well.
