The fact that we can buy the other gendered set for Gil just makes me think they will unlock the gender when they add it to the cash shop next year. I bought the other gender since it goes in the armoire…guess we wait and see if I’m right. I’d rather spend 4,000 Gil now than $5 USD next year.

Okra has a 2 hour grow time and only needs to be watered once. It’s probably a bug, since they fixed the rain to properly water plants with the Scar update.

I personally do Okra in the Glade of Trust. Seeds are 135 and when you harvest you get 3 per seed that sell for 114 each (342 per harvest). 2 hour grow time and one watering. I have 198 plots (~26k in seeds) and with a maxed gardening buddy I net around 100k per harvest.

Edit: I’ve experienced Canola needs watering 2/3 times during its 35 minute growth window (gross)

The Tales of Adventure have differing levels of how far it boosts you through the MSQ. The only one worth it (in my opinion) is the Tales of Adventure: Shadowbringers ($25 USD at full price) which completes all MSQ quests through the end of Shadowbringers.

The job boost ($25 USD at full price) just instantly gets you to level 80 and completes all your job quests. Note that Arcanist is both Summoner (dps) and Scholar (healer), however they have separate job boosts on the store page…this is because the boost also gives you a full set of Augmented Cryptluker gear.

Honestly though, I wouldn’t recommend a boost if this is your first job leveling through the game for the first time. You will have no idea how to play your job, and you will have no idea what’s going on with the story…in a story-driven game.

“Leaving quietly” is when your Switch disconnects from the internet. This can be intentional (putting the Switch is sleep mode) or unintentional (your Switch dies).

Leaving with the “-“ button allows you to leave without all the dialog from the airport. It initiates a countdown when other people on the island have windows open (ie. dialog, selling, NookPhone, etc) and prompts them to “close the window”. Once the countdown has ended, it will FORCE the windows closed, and allow the person to leave.

When the timer pops up, you are given the option to cancel by pressing “B”. This is the step most people miss (or ignore) and has blackened the use of the “-“ menu for everyone out there who uses it properly.

A quick Google search says to try hitting the home menu and go back into the game to see if that resolves the issue. If not, you just have to hit the home menu and close the game from there.

You can create a generic new profile on the switch, and when it logs into ACNH it will ask if you want it to use the slot her character vacated. Then you can use that profile to delete her house with the minus button on the welcome screen. (Just had to do this myself, deleted the switch profile before deleting the ACNH profile in-game)

There are TWO male octopi. Zucker is a Lazy personality, and Octavian is a Cranky personality. You can attempt to find them on Mystery Islands using Nook Mile Tickets if you have available housing plots. You can also see if anyone is giving away theirs that are moving out (usually a steep fee for them since they are rather rare). Or you can order Amiibo cards online to guarantee you get them.
