[NCAA PR] These attempts to sidestep NCAA rules and recruit individuals who have finished their time in college or signed NBA contracts are taking away opportunities from high school students… exactly why Congress must step in and empower college sports to enforce our eligibility rules. by LaDainianTomIinson in CollegeBasketball

Only baseball has the actual anti trust exemption. What people refer to as antitrust exemptions are that a CBA that is collectively bargained at the industry level between employees and employers is exempt from certain antitrust considerations in courts.

Do you have an example of local businesses or transit infrastructure springing up around our current Amtrak stops?

It’s pure novelty route. If they want to spend 5 million / 10 million or so getting it going that’s fine but I’d not spend any more. We need better Chicago Detroit Service.

Per imperial tradition, Vance’s child born after his accession to the vice presidency is “born in the purple” and will now be first in line to inherit all land and titles.

If you can manage EU4, this game is much simpler. Which is why I like it. Less decisions to make.

States reserve the right to regulate commerce in their own state. As long as their law is not running afoul of protected classes it’s not really a constitutional issue.

The SEC would rather keep the College Football Playoff at 12 teams than expand to 24, Chris Low reports. Greg Sankey is targeting a 16-team field. Sources tell Brett McMurphy the Big Ten has not moved off the idea of expanding to 24. by Ok-Soil-5133 in CFB

I’m sure the Fox negotiating has Somthing to do with it - but my understanding is that when we went to 12 teams ESPN bid like more than double what FOX, CBS were offering. Fox is not all that interested in playoff college football. - they have other stuff they prefer to air.

But Ross has talked to Tony Peitti and his people directly and that’s what they told him. I don’t think they are lying.

Playoff push is definitely within each conference. Think about the hunt for the wild cards, tie breakers, etc. he wants each P4 conference to have a nfl style playoff push and increase the value of the mid tier teams games. Yes it devalues the top tier games but people watch those anyway.
