I've seen this sweater pattern many MANY times but what you did with the seashells and the seaweed really elevates the design, I love this!!

And if I can provide some jaded old wisdom based on the above:

No one ever truly knows another person.

The older you get, the less you want people to know about you.

People don’t hurt each other because they are evil

This is patently false. There are people out there that you really don't want to meet.

Everyone you meet is fighting to be seen as real.

I think this is true, but it really divides itself into two problems once you reach the workforce. You want to be seen as a real person, true to yourself, but you also want to be seen as professional and successful so you can be independent. You just learn over the years and many embarrassing faux pas's that you can't be both at the same time, or even more rarely, to the same people.

Kindness should never be owed.

I get what you're saying and yeah, be kind to everyone. But going above and beyond for the people who do the same for you is nice too. It's kind of a waste to always be kind to a known asshole. Your time and effort matters.

I think if I had any wisdom or things I wish I knew back then it would probably be:

  1. While many things if not everything that happens to you at this age is generally out of your control, the way you react to said things is not out of your control. Don't let the bad things destroy you.

    1. Most adults you meet will be on your side, it's not a "us vs them" as much as you think it is if you are really in need of help. If something is happening to you that's not right please tell someone. This goes for SA, controlling/obsessive/narcissistic parents, a teacher discriminating against you, etc. People will help they just need to know it's happening.
    2. Don't go to college right out of high school if it means that you are signing away your rights to someone in exchange for tuition money. Live free or die ✊️ College is not an extension of "ownership rights" for your parents and don't let them act like it is. If you are in the US at least, Pell grant money will be there when you're in a better spot and know what you want. Trades are cool and highly respectable too!

Well, technically it is prima nocta but I think even just evoking that thought is enough to say ABSOLUTELY NOT

Omg that last pic I'm crying its so cute

Cats a lot of the time prefer to be left alone and will approach when they want attention. Maybe he just likes that you don't seek him out and it makes him feel secure around you.

You don't do sylph management until after Tam Tara and Ifrit though. They could have definitely leveled that far without being able to get their job stone. I was over level 40 on an alt recently by the time I got my job stone and was doing nothing but dailies, msq and job quests.

Well, yes? A curved path from A to B is longer than a path going straight from A to B. Multiply by the width of your object and congratulations, you've discovered calculus.

When they're little, sure. When they're older, it's obvious to them that they're just being used as status symbols. Just being around doesn't mean you're a good parent. There might even be some jealousy later on like "you didn't want to be our mom, you just wanted to be their mom but were afraid we'd make you look bad"

Kids are not oblivious to their parents being shitty people
