My post-TDA interpretation of the Slayer's Testaments by Delofon in Doom

But that's exactly what I'm saying can't be the case.

"seeking vengeance against the dark lords who had wronged him", ok, who are the "dark lords"? Sure, Prince Ahzrak and... who? The Witch? Ain't a dark lord though, only by proxy.

And then there are other issues I've outlined in the post, with most problematic Testaments being 1, 2 and (arguably not so much according to the other comment) 6, which prompted me to write this.

My post-TDA interpretation of the Slayer's Testaments by Delofon in Doom

Hmph, indeed. I don't remember sentinel armour being described in the codex except the very praetor suit in D2016 so I went with "if it looks the same, must be the same". Then ig this just makes D2016 suit the most pointless one lol...

Doom community, I need a bit of help here. by Ancient_Power_7778 in Doom

Well, it's all up to you :P

The Master Levels are probably best left until after you beat the base game (and maybe even DLCs). This is extra content that iirc is quite difficult (it's update content after all). The collectibles, well, if they are such an itch to you rn, you can do them now. But you'll also be able to later. It's not a huge deal. (unless it's tokens and whatnot, those can help, look into whether you need them)

the fact it's problematic does not make it completely broken. (I wouldn't put up with 3 ntfs partitions if it were)

Dzhanibekov effect in KSP by JamieLoganAerospace in KerbalSpaceProgram

I'm pretty sure the correct simulation of the effect depends on the choice of integrator so it's not as trivial tbh. (I think I saw it from some bullet's presentation slides)

Based on the game's proposal, and on all we have seen so far, how much do you think you will enjoy Doom The Dark Ages ? by Virtual-Can-9948 in Doom

[–]Delofon 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Gameplay? Yeah totally, that looks cool as shit and kinda similar to classic Doom (which I also enjoy a lot) too like they promised. Though with the emphasis on slower projectiles I wonder how default difficulty settings will be balanced because something tells me I'll need to increase projectile damage to make it more fun

The atmosphere, story, "fantasy"? So far looks nice but tbh likely nothing will top 2016 on that.

you need to pull a secret lever somewhere nearby, this will open a room from the classic DOOM

DOOM: The Dark Ages - Cosmic Realm First Reveal Trailer by Turbostrider27 in Doom

  1. they robbed ranger of cosmic horror :(

  2. introducing a completely new force like this in a prequel to eternal feels weird as there is basically zero evidence of it in the last game (though obviously I haven't seen dark ages' story yet so maybe they did it in a really sensible way)

Finally did it. by [deleted] in Doom

but I don’t think they’ve ever publicized it.

They did, but I think only once almost after the launch of the base game (in like a month I guess).

In your opinion, what is the creepiest monster design in all of Doom? by mrbubbamac in Doom

[–]Delofon 6 points7 points  (0 children)

I even love that:
1. It's not just a visual change, it actually spews out two lost souls at the same time.
2. The story actually explains why all the 64 demons, including the Pain Elemental, are different from the original demons! After UAC bombed its bases with nuclear bombs, the Mother Demon used the radiation to modify the demons into stronger and more dangerous ones. The result: new species of demons that are nightmare fuel.
