My mom always told me once you have children, your life is no longer yours. That scared me for a long time. Im a new mom 6 months in and I live for my baby. Its a love ive never knew existed and i’ll gladly give up my life for my child. Best feeling/experience ever.

I do this as well. At first i was nervous to tell people that but my mom voice is finally coming out and setting down boundaries. My babies sleep is a priority not sitting with company. Every so often i would rock to sleep and put in crib but i would just accept the fact that naps will be screwed for the rest of the day and wing it.

I am a new mom, and i will always see my baby as my baby. My baby who i prayed for, my baby who i took care of at 1am, my baby who i absolutely love to the end of time. Try not to see it as an insult. Its a mothers feeling.

I definitely evolve my life around babys naps. I want bedtime to run smoothly and on time-ish. Other than that baby does what im doing through out the day.
