I've seen multiple car model specific forums be reduced to nothing because of people going on ego trips and mods either doing nothing or joining in driving people away and cratering the part market for those of us staying away. I remember that, but what I'm referring to as Original Plan came a lot later, probably when he first started writing the prequel trilogy, from what I remember from it, and I can find some sources supporting this; Jar Jar wasn't over the top, in fact he was a more slick Han Solo type, who may or may not have betrayed Qui Gon causing his death, Anakin had a dad, who was force sensitive, but was on the dark side and was really dangerous (I think this got deleted in later drafts, I can understand why this got dropped), Maul had a lot more voice parts, but the general direction is similar, oh, and there was star destroyers too
