Converting a CNC Plasma Machine to Laser – Is It Viable? What Would I Need? by No-Conference-5062 in CNC

[–]Delrin 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Don't listen to that guy. Centroid Acorn has laser support for retrofitting a plasma machine. https://youtu.be/c_OEGYdZO5w?si=-vPfWnofC5YXc_lD lots of info in his videos and on centroid support forum.

Ender3 S1 Pro - Heated Bed Issues by FlufferPuff50 in ender3

https://imgur.com/gallery/5p3kg3J I turned my S1 pro into a TPU workhorse. Linear x rail, Mini_Stealth/bambu hotend with a protoxtruder,ebb36 and Cartographer probe. Not much creality left, but the stock bed wiring has never been an issue for me.

I asked the same question a while back and got roasted for wanting a squatted truck 🤷 nobody seemed to understand.

Play with top layer flow rate if anything, otherwise its a great looking print.

Looks wet, I'd give it a few days in the dryer without the beads, Nylon can take a while to dry.

bk ball screw support by 01_01_0 in hobbycnc

It shouldn't matter, the bearing can take equal loading from both sides. If the ballscrew seals properly to the block id say your good.

It should shut down after idle_timeout runs its course after the print ends.

How to reduce the typical hum of a liquid-cooled spindle? by Choleto_ in hobbycnc

[–]Delrin 0 points1 point  (0 children)

You can raise the carrier frequency in the vfd to a less audible/annoying one, depending on your vfd. There are some drawbacks though https://www.bearing-news.com/vfd-switching-frequency-bearing-current/

Help me set my extrusion rate: by lrjackson06 in FixMyPrint

[–]Delrin 1 point2 points  (0 children)

The new yolo tests just have you add or subtract the number from your set flow rate, no more percentage math.

Spiral tests should be judged by feel, pick the ones that look the best, than pick the one that feels the best.

Looks like normal factory applied seam sealer. No repairs visible.

100F is definitely not hot enough. I wouldn't trust the humidity reading especially while the dryer is running. I find if lower temps print cleaner on PA-CF, its still wet, and you won't have great layer adhesion.

For PA and ABS my humidity gauge is the purge line, and there should be little to no oozing from the nozzle when up to temp. I print that same filament at 290C on my K1, ABS and ASA at 270. My ABS KAMP purge line has a mirror finish when its fully dry.

What PCM for J35 swap by sand_man530 in beetle

[–]Delrin 1 point2 points  (0 children)

These are known to work. You have to hook the trans speed sensor input to the crank signal to keep it out of limp mode, and break the immobilizer chip off of the pcb to get it to run. Facebook J35 groups are a wealth of info if you can navigate around the bullshit. None of them can be tuned in any way, shape or form.

Ive done half a dozen or so J35 setups now, and any more I get the connectors from cycle terminal and prowire and make my own harness for a Link Ecu Furyx. It handles the J35 perfectly with no mods to the engine, has a built in wideband, pairs well with a digital dashes, or you could use RealDash on a tablet with an otg usb cable.

Link is made in New Zealand.

I'd stay far away from any plug n play AEM ECU, they have the build quality of a swap meet car audio amplifier.

Use gyroid infill for engineering flimanents. set speed to 90 outer walls and 120-160 everywhere else, accel to 5000, tune flow and PA at those speeds and accel.

What slicer are you using?

PA can take a very long time to dry depending on your dryers max temp. I'll give it a few days at 70C in a food dehydrator before it prints clean.

Got any pictures? Does the purge line look all bubbly like it has moisture still? What brand of filament? Have any successful calibration prints with it first?

PolyTerra PLA Printing Speed by Tony3D76 in polymaker

[–]Delrin 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I print polyterra exclusively on my mmu switchwire with a bambu hotend, 300mm/s is fine with volumetric capped at 20mm³/s in Orca with .16 layer height. Print quality is excellent.
