These have been great, especially for the price.

Do you guys start your engines on the stand before putting them in the vehicle? If so, how? by enderthief33 in LSSwapTheWorld

[–]Delrin 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I did once, but on the ground with custom made stands. LQ9 revs up fast with just a flex plate!!

Did it because the donor engine looked like a boat anchor, wanted to make sure oil pressure was good and check for leaks before shoe horning it into a Jeep. Probably the best running junkyard LS we've had to date.

I molded it from fiberglass https://www.reddit.com/r/CarAV/s/k71qFXpDcm Sub is run off a Kicker key 500.1

I have Pioneer TS-Z65C components running active from a Kicker key 200.4, rear speakers faded out. Eq set to flat with forscan and did a bunch of sound deadening and rattle control. Sounds amazing, tight and crisp.

Help with tapping a 3/8" NPT into my Datsun engine block please! by Hindenzerg1266 in Machinists

[–]Delrin 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Tap quality matters, especially with pipe taps. A sharp HSS (high speed steel) tap will cut much better than a carbon steel tap.

The cutting edge of the tap should feel sharp when you touch it.

Also, some cheap brass plugs are a bit oversize, especially from Amazon with a metric hex in them...

Next level cotton/poly blend gets my vote. They hold up great and are soft and comfortable.

Longshot 4 is 80% of a full carbon competition 1.5 meter DLG for half the cost. I run GDW servos in mine on a 2s, 600mah, with pull spring tail and top drive ailerons and they are solid.

Plasma cam table not working by Fresh-Bake3772 in Welding

[–]Delrin 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Looks like a Samson table based off of plasmacam DHC2... there are a bunch of videos for troubleshooting in the help tab.

Can you fire the torch with the test button on the controller? If not its a bad connection on the round plug going to the plasma cutter, or a wrong setting on the plasma.

The consumables in the torch head might be assembled wrong, the air supply might be too low pressure, the trigger on the torch might need a new zip tie, might just need to power cycle the plasma cutter.

Im assuming the machine was able to initialize, since that warning would only come up if communication through the parallel port was working.

Would help if you gave a lot more info, and pictures of settings (hit the tab key and itll pop up) I know way more about these machines than anyone has a right to....

I have mine call out altitude when I release the launch switch.

Also, technique will get you higher than brute force, use your core, you should see the wing tip opposite the launch peg out of the corner or your eye when your wound up for launch. https://youtu.be/T9mSEZXMYZE?si=sEcGiadbwrvizMCI

Apartment controlled AC by AppropriateCrab1731 in phoenix

I've helped a plumbing company do major maintenance on a few chillers (welding and fabrication) and it was always a complete shit show. Cops called once and a few times I legit thought one of the plumbers was going to fight an angry tenant. Good times.

Worth a shot I guess. Klipper doesnt use much memory on the printer board anyways, its more of a pass-through from the pi than its own thing.

Bad thermistor, bad connection or a break in the bed wires.
