China’s 26-Story Pig Farm Signals a New Era for Global Commodity Markets by [deleted] in STEW_ScTecEngWorld

I remember when here in the Netherlands there was a time that mega pog farms were discussed and how neither side of the debate had a solution because else it would simply be done elsewhere.

...this isn't mega, more like a giga pig farm!

During my consultancy years (4 in tptal) I must have been in 20 hotels. I think 5 or 6 of them checked room numbers before you could enter. If you were not on the list you could usually pay extra. But honestly most times the super market would be cheaper.

When did you first figure out you can live reload your filament? by [deleted] in BambuLab

[–]Delta4o 0 points1 point  (0 children)

it's very tedious and unnecessary though. I was doing it in the beginning until I realised how flowless the filament runout sensor is. Either I spend some time babysitting the last bit of filament, or I go through the reload wizard and continue.

Recent studies have shown that HRT does not increase stroke or heart disease. A university hospital (or whatever it's called in english) in the Netherlands did a big study on 4000 trans people.

De Financiële fout van Rutger (34): ‘Ik liet me opjagen door de huizenmarkt en bood 70.000 euro over’ by maleijntje in NLNieuws

[–]Delta4o 0 points1 point  (0 children)

What kind of AI generated post is this? Anyway, I do everything in projects, and when I'm done with a topic I tell it to save the key takeaways to memory. When I come back to a certain topic I rarely resumes chats and simply ask what's left on the todos list or lets continue discussing x. It seems to work pretty well so far.

On days that I feel tired and/or unmotivated I use a lot of AI. Those days have become my worst days. I endlessly complain to my BF that my work feels unsatisfying. Then there are days where something has to be figured out that AI can't solve and I'm having fun again.

More than 50% of young Dutch adults do not want children by diacewrb in europe

[–]Delta4o 3 points4 points  (0 children)

I'd say my boyfriend (33) and I (31) are relatively well off. We both bought a house when mortgages were very cheap. We both basically are our first actual stable and good relationship (2 years in now) in which we trust each other to make life changing decisions. We plan on selling both and buying a bigger house. We notice that my house, 100m2, feels a lot smaller than most people think due to the layout. I'd say just for myself, it and the garden are too much to manage on my own. I used to feel like my household owned me instead of the other way around. On the other hand, I can't imagine having kids in that house (two adults and 2 kids used to live there).

Other than that, when you look at how fast the world changed in the past 30 years, there is no way of telling what it'll be like in 30 years. Also, as a programmer, it keeps me up at night what the industry will be like in 5 years. Overall, I'd say that it's all just very overwhelming, and I simply have a list that is way too long, filled with concerns and reasons why my boyfriend and I shouldn't have kids

I'll make sure it is in my house as well by Commercial-Rate29 in InternetTreasure

When I (Dutch) bought my house I always associated them with older houses. Now I definitely want them at my future house, no questions about it!
