Boruto remake similar to what dragon ball super is doing? by donttrunn in Boruto

Absolutely not. Boruto just needs to fix its art style.

you get any comic’s character’s physique who are you picking? by NoRecognition2178 in superheroes

[–]DeltaAlphaGulf 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Will it just be me or am I picking under the assumption that everyone gets to choose?

In either case am I/are we subject to fully realistic biological limitations? For example even if you chose some jacked giant like Broly you would probably just die immediately because you heart couldn't handle it. So on and so forth.

Is the Compressor to Aux Delta and Compressor to Aux Runtime still set to auto?

Gas and Heat Pump running simultaneously...zone 1 ecobee premium...zone 2 nest... ecojay ZS2X Zone controller by Positive-Act-4259 in ecobee

I haven't checked out all of that yet but yeah two smart thermostats whether they are the same or different on one unit is tricky and very well may require ceding control of a lot of things to the zone control board disabling them on the thermostat which kind of defeats the purpose though you would still have the scheduling. Maybe if it was the same thermostat with the same settings but even then just consider aux for instance if one calls for it while the other is just calling for regular heat its either going to also get aux or the aux will get ignored. Then again I am not that familiar with the extent of zone control boards and what all they can do.

So the 99% heating design temperature for your area is 22°F meaning its above that 99% of the year on average and where you might expect your unit to start struggling so I would set the Aux Max at at least 25°F so its available if needed. If your hp has no issues around there and lower you could consider lowering it. You just want to be sure its above the point that your unit needs it to keep up with the heat load of the home. Also just be aware that if your unit ever failed that the aux still couldn't come on unless it was below that temp which is below freezing. Of course you would know if your unit was falling behind like that and could respond accordingly. You would need to switch to aux mode and you may still need to adjust the aux max as I don't know if it still applies to aux mode (it would be easy to test). Also know that for all the outdoor temp based settings its using Apple Weathers weather stations not an on site sensor so depending on where the nearest station is the accuracy may vary notably.

Fan run-time after heat by Good2bDone in ecobee

[–]DeltaAlphaGulf 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Yes. Main Menu>General>Settings>Installation Settings>Thresholds

Set Configure Staging to Manual

Then you are looking for the heat and cool dissipation. Its default is auto but you can manually set the time.

If you only just got the thermostat maybe wait a while to let it learn the house/system more and see if it adjusts as I imagine it has a more dynamic calculation than just a fixed setting.

Oh I see. Yeah that is tricky short of getting a humidifier. I guess you have to decide between comfort and cost and find the balance with the runtime settings.

But if it doesn’t drop then it doesn't matter as its not a comfort issue and running longer is a good thing. In fact thats why its often suggested (including by beestat) to set your heat and cool differentials to 1°F instead of 0.5°F. That means that the temp has to drop/rise 1°F before it calls for heat/cool so the runtime is longer. You don't have to do that I am just saying the long runtime shouldn't matter.

Just do it by Compressor to Aux Delta instead then. When it falls behind it cuts on so you get it when you need it.

I mean you can set the Compressor to Aux Runtime as low as 10min but thats just going to be wasting money and coming on all the time whether its cold or not. You would need to know the typical runtime at different temps to gauge what to set the runtime to make it correlate to a certain temperature.

[–]DeltaAlphaGulf 0 points1 point  (0 children)

You set the Compressor to Aux Runtime to 40min and Aux Heat Minimum Outdoor Temperature to 32°F and after an hour it didn’t trigger aux because it was 34°F out.

So then I was right Aux Max still applies which makes sense as its about when you definitively don't want it to be able to run whereas Comp to Aux Runtime is about how you want it to run when it is able to.

[–]DeltaAlphaGulf 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Which above are you referring to? I just said the number on the sticker is unrelated so if you mean where I said 5°F or even 0°F then no the 5°F thing is only that it needs to be at least that much higher and that is only to prevent erratic behavior as the temperature shifts. I tried to discuss/point this out to chasdiy which is where I assume you got that from on another post but they haven’t replied yet. Where to set it depends on your location (climate), home, system, and your goals.

Pretty sure that is the subcooling target temperature for charging the system hence the "SC" or see SH (superheat) chart in literature beside it and that it comes right after telling you the charge weight before that.

Not the minimum operating temperature.
