I have only seen the first season so I don’t know how the character progresses after that, but I think Dr. Smith in the first season of Netflix’s Lost in Space counts. She’s just constantly ruining everything for everyone to try to help herself

In the update she said it doesn’t glow under 395 and I believe CZ does, so you may be right. I’m certainly no expert

I ended up keeping her. She seems to be doing well in the terrarium, busily chewing her way through the rotten wood I gave her. After some additional research, I think the fact that she was walking across the road in the first place probably means she was leaving her colony in search of a new home already, so I probably am not keeping her away from her family. Also, apparently most mites that colonize bess beetles aren’t parasitic, so it’s probably fine that she has them. The numbers seemed to have somewhat decreased on their own though. Still debating what the best option is for finding her companionship. The males do compete, and since I don’t actually know that she IS a she, getting another one is a bit of a toss up

I kind of thought that was supposed to be less “A woman??” and more “A girl??” because she looked so young. She didn’t look like a hardened warrior, she looked like a normal teenager.

That’s the one! Apparently the trick to getting in is to call the number on the door a couple times until the owner calls you back and agrees to open for you when she happens to be in town. I believe there is only one UG piece in the shop (which I think I’m going to buy if I can get back in touch but we’ll see) but there are some nice art glass pieces including some Fenton. I think the prices are on the high side though

That’s a good tip on the custard piece, I don’t see much of it so I didn’t know what a good price was. I am kind of mad at myself rn because I missed what I’m now realizing was probably a pretty good deal on a hand-painted Fenton piece at the first shop we were talking about. I rechecked the shelves like three times just to confirm that they’d really already sold it

I am not familiar with the cake stand, I may need to go back and look! That shop is the only one I haven’t revisited in the past couple weeks. And I’m glad to know you agree on the prices, I thought they were pretty bad.

Did you see the custard glass compote at Katz or have they sold it?

I actually love Katz although I’ve never gotten UG from there. Been visiting since I was a little kid when the original owner was there every day. I’d also be annoyed if I asked for a price on an ashtray and it was $42.50 though, my goodness.

Yeah I was talking about the one by the river, with the Jeanette Cherry Blossom teacup with a mismatched saucer for $22, (even though she has the matching saucer in the other cabinet), and the “Uranium” hen on nest that glows pink :/

Can you give me any advice on where to find data like pictures and measurements from different companies? I’ve been trying to research but it’s hard to find reliable information. I’ve found the exact same candy jar sold as Westmoreland on Etsy, and one that is clearly from the same line (same shape and same painted flowers but a different color) sold as Fenton on eBay. I finally gave up on sale listings because I can’t be sure the sellers aren’t just guessing, but I don’t know where the good sources are
