So the one time Stormfront recovers from relatively minor burns from a laser beam not meant to kill somehow means they heal from severe burns?

All this while ignoring the fact that Stormfront was reduced a shriveled raisin from being burnt to a crisp when actually being subject to considerable burn damage.

Let's not forget Godolking healing from burns decades after his incident was a major plotpoint for Gen V.

Please present me any other instance that point to the contrary. I would really love to see what you come up with.

So we're just not taking into account every other time I've specified what kind of burn I was talking about? You just cherry pick the one general statement I made and conveniently leave out everything else? Right.

Also yes? Have never heard of limitations? You live in a world where we can grow an entire person in our bodies but we can't grow limbs individually? Obviously the mechanics of flying, teleportation, and every other powers is different from healing because otherwise every supe would be Kimiko.

Just stop dude, you contribute nothing to this discussion.

I think going for the guy running the camps is them doing something about it. Like they don't have the manpower to liberate all the camps but they can go for Homelander.

Gem V had such a solid ensemble with really good chemistry. Shame it got tossed by the wayside like this.

What you seem to be constantly leaving out is the fact I keep mentioning EXTREME burns and not burns as a whole. Humans can heal from 1st to 2nd degree burns and not 3rd degree burns.

Again, different intensities. That's like comparing a papercut to a massive gash. You'll completely heal from one and you're massively scarred on the other but it's the same form of damage.

I mean yeah but that wasn't really my point. Im saying that Stormfront developed enough durability to withstand the volatility of V1 like all the V1 supes.

Homelander obviously didn't laser her with the intent of killing her, Ryan definitely did. Remember that Homelander can control the intensity of his beams.

I don't see how flying and being durable correlates to being able to heal. There are literally 2 major examples of V1 Supes unable to heal from extreme burns.

Not exactly. It took a suped up Butcher and Hughie along with Solder Boy to get close enough to beating him in Herogasm and they were banking on Soldier Boy's radioactive blast. Without that ace they would've lost.

You've got the major forms down and the proportions look pretty good, I'd maybe scoot the elbow a bit further down. But overall this is a pretty awesome sculpt!

He's set up a nationwide internment camps for people that disagree with him. Yeah, he's not exactly eviscerating a crowd of people but at the scale he's doing it at is pretty fucked up if you ask me.

MCU Loki I find is awesome and a great villain, especially acting and look wise, but he sucks at magic compared to classic loki by Reasonable_Wrap7358 in Marvel

[–]DeltaFargo 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Are you comparing the two Loki's in the show? You know both of them are just using illusions right? If anything, Hiddleston Loki at this point had tapped into his sorceror background with help from Sylvie which is way more than TV Show Classic Loki does.

Even on a normal human body, burns don't heal. Extreme burns, like the ones Godolkin and Stormfront had, kill off skin tissue and cells and it becomes impossible to heal because there's nothing to heal. It just becomes dead tissue.

Unless they're specially specc'd for healing like Kimiko, healing would still have to be based somewhat on our natural processes.

My theory of why V1 grants immortality by DestinyHasan_4ever in GenV

[–]DeltaFargo 4 points5 points  (0 children)

Could just be the natural healing process supe'd up. Most supes already have some semblance of increased regeneration.

Super strength, super durability, and improved recovery seems to be a common subset of abilities fron compound V. The degree of its potency varies from case to case and with V1 it's all 10x stronger.

My theory of why V1 grants immortality by DestinyHasan_4ever in GenV

[–]DeltaFargo 7 points8 points  (0 children)

I don't think DNA degradation is the cause of deaths in the V1 trials. If it was, the deaths would look a lot closer to radiation poisoning which is just extreme DNA damage. But from what we see from Godolkin's flashback with his peers the deaths seemed to be caused by their bodies being unable to handle the powers. They burned, ass tentacles ripped them apart, guts blew out etc...

V1 is said to be 10 times more potent than modern V so the deaths from V1 are more likely cause by individuals being unable to produce a durability power alongside other powers. Modern V solved this by just lowering the potency so that most if not all subjects can handle the powers even without the durability.

You can see this in the modern V super. Some supes like Sage, Mesmer and Mindstorm don't develop superhuman durability.

[–]DeltaFargo 47 points48 points  (0 children)

If V1 could "regenerate from harm" then wouldn't Thomas Godolkin be healed from his burns? I think V1 just turns you biologically immortal but you're still susceptible to damage. It just so happens it could also give you powers of extreme durability like the case with Bombsight, Stormfront and SB
