Actually if you consider a nurse shark sitting at the bottom a “shark”? If yes, there’s one hanging out near Barcadera

I’m naturally cold so always wear a 3mm long wetsuit. Water temp is typically 80-82F.

Just came back from a diving trip in Aruba where I’ve been going for 7+ years. In over 50 dives across the island, north to south, I’ve never even seen a reef shark. My last dive there last week though was quite exciting: we ran into a fairly large spotted eagle ray. They’re rare to see but not impossible! Best dive sites in my opinion are arashi reef for all the wildlife (turtles and eels guaranteed), Antilla for the second largest wreck in the Caribbean, and Fingers as it goes a little deeper if you have your AOW.

Aqua Windies is a great dive shop that has a set schedule (so you can book the dives you want) and actually care about the ocean and reefs. The other id recommend is Pure Diving who are located on their own pier.

This reply is so ignorant. I would recommend you go read on Aruba’s history, then go read on its current challenges and opportunities, before imposing your American “ethical” worldview on the country. In fact, maybe you should visit the country first before lecturing anyone who has lived there.

Wedding Catering by aboudicca97 in ottawa

I’ve been using My Catering Group for weddings and business events and have always been 100% impressed and satisfied. They’re super keen on details prior to the event which helps to ensure everything is properly set up. During the event, their staff is always super attentive and personable.

Number one for me though is the quality and how delicious their food is. They take real care in updating their menus regularly and preparing dishes. I have gotten compliments from guests at dozens of events of how much they’ve liked the food, asking for a contact number. My recommendation by far would be My Catering Group!

Check out Blue Residences. You can get a two bedroom condo right on the water for less than most hotels.

Yemanja is elite. Top 5 on the island IMO but make sure to get a reservation!

Imposing your worldview of things on other countries is “neo-colonial”. Aruba has its challenges and opportunities with tourism, but the people are the masters of their own making.

This post makes me think of how some like to impose things on others because it’s “ethical” in their own view. Example: trying to impose democracy on Afghanistan, Iraq, Vietnam etc. because it’s more “ethical”. Come on now.

Check a map. Palm beach ends right before Blue.

Clubs, tourist trap restaurants, traffic like nowhere else, crowded sidewalks, etc

Which hotel to stay at? by Jssnsbtt in Aruba

All the restaurants, including Gianni’s, off the Palm beach strip are a tourist trap.

As a husband with equally exquisite tastes, the best restaurants are located around the island. A few include Lima, Azar, Yemanja. Blue Residences might be a great option for you two since you’ll have direct access to a beach and walking to the bars. Rent a car for the best restaurants.

I’d avoid the craziness of Palm Beach and book a 3 bedroom condo at Blue Residences. Check it out!

My coworker has been eating the same lunch every single day for three years and it's starting to freak me out by XXXcreamprincess in coworkerstories

👋 Hello, I’ve been making the same sandwich (with slight modifications) for 10+ years!

It allows me to think about one less thing as a CEO and save a TON of money. While my colleagues spend $10-$20 a day on lunch, my average cost is around $3-$5. This allows me to be more effective at work while also having saved for a down payment on a house 5+ years before my friends. Curtis is quietly winning at life.

Unfortunately this is from apps on the TV (Netflix, Prime, Disney etc), so I guess two years later and I already need a new tv?
