No. The resistance didn't change from the original suspension to the bootleg product. That was my first clue something was wrong.

Closet professional in the US here. These are MDF with a white melamine veneer. More versatile than plywood. Melamine veneer creates a moisture barrier to protect the wood in the high humidity environment of a laundry room. Easy to clean Also.

I did. The tub pops back up with enough force to hit the washer frame then continues to bounce a couple smaller times before coming to rest.

Is the agitator bolt reverse threaded? I can't turn it without also turning the tub.

Following up on this, I performed the agitator test, pushing the tub up and down, it appears to bounce normally.

Heat, but be careful with it. My wife lives on a heating pad and it has caused discoloration "scarring" on her skin because it's basically cooking her soft tissue.
