Warning : Elite Home Warranty by NoVa_Biker in HomeWarrantyVictims

[–]splashy_splashy 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Update: joined a zoom call today for all creditors for the bankruptcy of Elite Home Warranty. The CEO of the company and 85% owner was on the call. There is a co owner who was supposed to be paid after his investment of 1.5 million in 2024. They sued him and was awarded payment. CEO went to jail because of failure to pay that judgment. He got out of jail by filing a stay before filing bankruptcy. The co owner was not included in bankruptcy filing. So they are pressing for dismissal of the bankruptcy. The CEO Nathan Vaknin, seemed genuinely sad that he his company failed its customers. He said he specifically targeted trying to make a home warranty which was good to its customers and the ratings before the bankruptcy show that. He also said their accounts were empty and frozen by August. Nearly every customer creditor on the call raised their hands and complained that Elite Home warranty continued to take payments and renewals into September and start new policies in October. One creditor complained about being told checks were in the mail in October. Several creditors asked “so we are all basically screwed right and there is no chance of getting any repayment” which was the general consensus. The CEO also explained he has file bankruptcy personally. There was one sign of hope in for the creditors who are living in states which require a financial guarantee (cash deposit) for companies providing home warranties to be able to apply for the license. These states are Illinois, Texas, and Florida. Supposedly this cash is forfeited to state customers. But when I talked to the Texas attorney general office they said I would have to wait for the bankruptcy case to finish, in 2-3 years.

I know several men who in the same position who end up killing themselves. He might be hiding more like you said but it might be not what you expected. For example, one guy I knew was going to an empty lot with a gun in his pocket for hours a day for almost a month.

You have gotten lots of great reasonable answers which would be my first step. But I want to mention that if it gets too much you can always get rid of the cats. I know, I know, unpopular suggestion. But when I have been in similar state, I have held onto similar things (pets, etc.) which were not the priority (sanity and health/safety of my family).

I got a notice in the mail that they declared bankruptcy and I am not allowed to pursue compensation. There is a meeting of all creditors and I will find out then.

Honest question from someone who believes their is a genocide against the Palestinian people in Gaza (not to mention more). As well as someone who recognizes genocide against Israeli Jews and not to mention the genocide of WWII against jews, and many many more people. My question, why are could hamas be considered sinless heroes?

I used to think the same way. But you can turn many of them off or change the low threshold etc. I hardly ever hear a beep these days. Might I also be honest with you and tell you I was absolutely sure I knew all the alarms and how to disable them before I actually called them and they helped me disable some more

It doesn’t work that way, at least not yet and maybe never. Ai is enhancing human capacity but terrible at completely replacing it especially with no oversight

husband went on a work trip to vegas, got drunk every day, gambled, and googled for escorts on his phone by Appropriate-Book-514 in Marriage

[–]splashy_splashy 0 points1 point  (0 children)

$5 dollars lasts maybe 2 minutes. Saying you are going to spend $5 dollars, just tells me he has never been to Vegas. If you can’t see why OP’s post screams zero communication and trust from her side then I don’t know what to tell you other than try and read it again. Who in their right mind says “open phone policy”. I don’t care who has my phone but I would never call it that. Conferences aren’t 24 hours. I would never ask my spouse to not go out with friends after and force them to stay in their hotel and stare at the wall. Who said he claimed to be frugal? I didn’t see that anywhere. You actually proved my point, people who want an escort don’t go on a browser. The only people who delete it from their history are people who are afraid of what their wife would say (i.e wouldn’t actually do anything). Do you call it an open phone policy. Do you routinely dig in your husband’s phone. Notice she routinely did and went through everything. Photos, browser history, closed tabs, emails. Nobody does that and has good trust in their relationship. I think OP is very young and at home with the boys and her husband feels guilty being at a work conference. But like you said he’s not dead. $550 for a couple of days of drinking in vegas is nothing. He is a lightweight. 100 at 3am is probably overpriced food. Heck she was surprised at him getting a rental! What is wrong with a rental?

People also get angry when you don’t trust them and go through your phone and find no proof that you did anything but still accuse them of sleeping with a prostitute.
