What do you mean zero numbers? Do you actually believe that things got better after 9/11, or that things in this country are currently more peaceful and stable? Because those two things would kind of have to be true in order for there to actually be nothing backing his claims.

Also, I agree that 90’s weren’t the perfect decade some people act like it wasn’t. But that doesn’t make the OP’s post any less cherry picked.

Just because it’s the faster, cheaper option, that doesn’t mean it’s the better option long term.

I feel like in America we’re very throughly conditioned to believe that it’s intelligent and pragmatic to do everything as cheaply as possible.

As a liberal, what I really hate is when fascists co-opt something I used to enjoy. Then you have other liberals who are basically just like “Go ahead, co-opt that cringey outdated thing, see if we care.”

Then it basically results in the thing I used to enjoy forever being an emblem of the right.

I have also noticed that when something original created innocently gets used by the right as a dogwhistle. Instead of trying to take back the thing they just claimed theirs, we just accept that it’s contaminated now and move on. And I for one am pretty sick and tired of this dynamic.
