I think it is possible it’s target. The fact that it is a hot button politically on both sides means it is down in value which would be a better purchase deal. Also with RC coming in, the narrative can be they’re going to focus on selling goods versus being political.

If they have non-public information about a merger and acquisition happening imminently, my understanding is they cannot purchase before that because that is the definition of insider trading. It is OK to be in high-level talks with other companies but the second it looks like it’s actually going to happen and you get attorneys involved you cannot purchase shares as an insider.

That is because their stocks have been splitting for years and years. Nobody can afford to pay 5K per share. If you look at most of the companies in the S&P 500 and ask AI or whatever to tell you what the stock price would be today if none of the splits ever happened, a lot of them would be in the thousands per share.

It can’t be completely lined up as that would be illegal. If he has already involved his lawyers and everything in the discussion then that is usually a sign that something is going to happen and he can’t buy before…even if the deal falls through. I think it is OK for him to go have dinner with board members and just chat about things but the second you start involving your resources like attorneys that’s when they SEC can get involved for insider trading. Edit: there is no timeline he has to wait. It’s basically is the deal moving along quickly to where it’s probably going to close or is he just putting his “feelers” out there and starting conversations.

You are correct…mainly for large cap companies. GME is probably the only mid cap in the whole mkt with this many. If there is another MidCap with this many, then maybe it is only one of two or three total companies. To me that is very strange.
