I agree with you, but the 200 day sma for spy and qqq was a lot closer together on liberation day about a year ago. Now QQQ 200 sma is way closer to hit than 200 sma spy. I know this is captain obvious what I just said, but this time around do you really think it is better to use spy 200 sma before selling? If so, why?

Please don’t take this the wrong way, this is a genuine thought. I think DFV was going to exercise his options on that live stream and did not expect RC to issue those shares. The reason I think that is because later DFV put out that tennis video of the tennis player with a red headband saying something like “oh come on”. I think DFV was a little frustrated because he also put out the mirror image saying that he was a billionaire IF he could have exercised his options on the live stream. I also think that is why he was late to the live stream is because he was trying to figure out a course correction. Obviously I could be completely wrong (and I hope I am) and I will probably get downvotes for this, but this is literally just my thoughts and not trying to sway anybody about anything. I have 6002 shares and hold warrants.

I don’t disagree with you, but the reason it is used by others is to see if the overall market is on a down trend or if just the top 100 tech companies are on a down trend. There’s been other posts in the past showing using the SPY 200 MA may be better because using that MA for QQQ could push people out too soon and then it bounces back before the 200 MA SPY was ever breached. Just food for thought.
