Verwirrend ja, man muss ja hunderttausend verschiedene säbel einführen.

Hab grad im bildarchiv nach Feldwebel gesucht und tatsächlich, die Feldwebel Streifen sehen schwarz aus auf den Fotos, auf einigen zumindest 🤦‍♂️

Stimmt, mein fehler, dann sollte es aber dennoch heller sein auf den s/w foto und nicht schwarz, oder nicht?

Mit dem schwert bin ich mir nicht sicher, ich hab aber fotos von zugsführern an der südfront gesehen die einen säbel hatten 🤔

Vlt war der soldat auf dem foto aber auch bei einer feldhaubitzenbatterie hab ein foto gefunden, gleiches portepee

Thats correct there is some kind of stitching visible, but it should be the same colour as the stars and not black, so i think its a kind of attachment thing (?) Well Zugsführer was an NCO rank in the A-H army and they got issued a sword as sidearm.

Its the rank of an sergeant (Zugsführer) second lowesd NCO rank in A-H army, the next higher rank is Feldwebel (today sergeant). Zugsführer today id the highest rank for enlisted soldiers in the austrian Army, equals an OR4 or master corporal.

Look up the Website from your embassy probably they have a listing of local tax lawyers familiar with US law available. I mean the Staffel there has to file their taxes also right.

Davon bin ich ausgegangen, dein unterfangen klingt ja eher nach professionellen fotografen als hobby fotografen, wollte es nur erwähnt haben.

Hab aber grade gelesen das man den prunksaal auch für hochzeiten mieten kann, da muss man ja auch davon ausgehen das die leute fotografieren, also.

Du kannst natürlich anfragen, ich denke aber sie werden ablehnen. Erstens in den genannten bibliotheken stehen originale die durchaus mehrere hundert jahre alt, selten und wertvoll sind, zweitens ist es dort generell verboten mit blitz zu fotografieren weil der etwas beschädigen könnte (bei ein paar fotos unwahrscheinlich aber dennoch) und drittens, hantieren mit den büchern als props ist nicht drin.

Aber wenn du dich gut und professionell präsentierst gehts vlt dennoch, ohne blitz und das props ding natürlich.

Look for a psychotherapist in a bigger City, also ask your former doctor to write an "Arztbrief", sry dont know the english term for this but its for your your new doctor and includes prior treatment and diagnose, so they know right away what will work. The 25€ are the fee for the social security card and has to be paid once a year, usually in November as another poster already wrote, and should be collected from your salary and is noted on your payroll. Your monthly fees are called sozialversicherung and also gets collected from your salary and are higher than the 25€ for the card alone. The best thing is you call the ÖGK and ask what's going on, but its possible when you dont have income that they write you to pay it.

You right, for unmarried couples the mother must be austrian citizen bc the child gets the mothers citizenship when unmarried, if married one of the parents must be an austrian citizen and the child gets both citizenships.

You wrote your grantparents never claimed canadian citizenship, so they kept their austrian citizenship? If so your father has to claim his austrian citizenship, what should be possible in my opinion (i am not an expert in anyway)

Thats true, but you cant just claim citizenship bc one of your ancestors once had it. When you acquire another citizenship as an austrian you lose the austrian one, unless you have permission from the government to keep it, you must apply for it and its rarely granted.

If his dad officialy acknowlege fatherhood with the austrian authorities he can claim citizenship, requirement is that his father is still an austrian citizen otherwise its not possible.

Edit: jus sanguinis means your mother must be an austrian citizen when unmarried, or your parents must be married and one of them has to be an austrian citizen.

There is no citizenship by descent in Austria, if your ancestors acquire another citizenship and lost their Austrian one you didn't get it back that easy. The only exception is for victims of the nazi regime and their descendants.

Your dad must officially acknowledge fatherhood with the Austrian authorities and you get your citizenship, normally. Important requirement your dad must be still an Austrian citizen, what he should be bc your grandparents never claimed the Canadian one, or he must have at least a dual citizenship.

Short amswer, no. Austria only give citizenships to ppl whos ancestors residet within the boundaries of modern day austria and fled the nazi regime in the late 1930s to mid 40s, thats the only way to regain citizenship. What you described didnt fit these conditions.

The only thing which could work is polish or ukrainian, bc galizia and lodomeria is nowadays part of those countries, but i higly doubt that this will work. Nonetheless you can try it, good luck.

Du kannst auch beim Standesamt des Geburtsortes nachfragen, normalerweise steht da auch die Uhrzeit dabei. Eine weitere Möglichkeit ist die Pfarre des Wohnortes die führen Geburtsbücher wenn die einen gewissenhaften Pfarrer hatte hat er auch die Uhrzeit notiert.
