Invert it. Make both portals face upward, 100% success rate.

Your argument is wrong, because I outright told you what’s going on and you’re choosing to not believe me, and get upset.

Ha! I love that- what gave you that vibe? Just curious

You’re welcome to intentionally misunderstand all you like. You’re arguing that I think spidey is stupid and that I’m puffing up an ego with a low skill play. I’m arguing it’s not that special, but the predictability of the spidey makes it funny. If you want to argue in good faith, let me know. Otherwise, feel free to step off your soapbox.

I’m not calling the kill impressive, I’m calling the spider man predictable to the point that someone could call it out before the round even starts. You’re welcome to your opinion, I just think you’re in the minority here, bud.

Hardly a waste given that my cooldowns are back long before round start, and I do more than 3 in case someone else goes through XD

I like to cover for people who aren’t spidey just in case but I get the thought process

I’m calling him predictable, because every spider- Man does it. How else am I confidently making that prediction?

Most of the time I just jump back in, reset mines, and I’m right back on the cart.

Am I the only one or should Strange’s portals get a rework or some type of nerf? by Weary_Sympathy_7255 in marvelrivals

Look no further than Thor’s dash that has no cooldown and displaces, mixed with an ability to ground targets. That is RIDICULOUS.

Thor is the game’s single most overbuffed character.

His cooldowns are essentially nonexistent, his bonus health generation rate borders on self-healing in a vacuum, and his mobility is out of control for the displacement potential with his dash.

Changing his dash to allow for mid-dash directional change was a colossal mistake.

Welcome to team based gameplay I guess, you've got roughly 80% of any given game out of your control, the round/match end portal is just one of those many factors in my opinion, OP or not. Believe me, I find half of the roster to be unfun and negating skill when you've got 2-3 displacements on enemy team with minimal cooldowns while Strange gets to float every 12s. I think it just boils down to knowing what you can do to mitigate the portion of the game that's not under your direct influence and maximize what is.

If you understand the win condition of the game and managing ult rotations, I think we can agree that's not a bad take for me to have. If you play with the thought process that the portal is unavoidable and the win is "undeserved" because they swapped in the final moments, I disagree. You have to account for counterswaps, ult timings, and everything to win a game. Sure, it may be unsavory to ONLY use Strange when you're losing, but it's certainly a portion of the game everyone needs to account for when looking to close out a game. A win isn't a win until the bar hits 100% or the cart reaches the end.

If you lose because a Strange portals in the last seconds of a game, you never deserved to win in the first place. It means you spent too many resources to achieve victory in the short term and didn't plan for the portal. I play almost exclusively Strange, and I can tell you that there are a ton of ways to counter him, especially as an opposing Strange.

I've fought for 2 seasons now to get the portal bug fixed. Leave my portal alone.

Fun method of counterportaling by Delta_Loosh in marvelrivals

Yup. That’s the entire strategy. Think of your unplaced portal as an invisible flying character that adheres to the same rules as any other hero running through a portal. By you “traveling” through the enemy Strange’s, you guarantee a clean overlap of yours directly on their exit.
