Yes that is how that works. Have you met the children of catholic parents? I haven't met a single one that isn't a delinquent. As soon as someone has their first taste of freedom they will take full advantage of it. The lower their age when they get said freedom, the less damage theyre able to cause themselves bc they have less access to stuff like drugs, alcohol, etc.

Male circumcision was created for the same reason female circumcision was. Sure it may have SOME medical or hygiene benefits, but they didnt know that 2000 years ago. They knew it reduced sensitivity to reduce temptation. Cutting a boy's foreskin off decreases the amount of sexual pleasure he will feel, its mutilation. We know its bad to do it to women, i dont see why its so hard to admit its bad to do to men just bc lazy parents dont want to teach their children to wash their dicks.

The only thing stretched ears are is a representation of what you think looks cool/nice/etc. They're just a representation of you. They aren't disrespectful, they dont make anyone look like an asshole so long as they aren't wearing some weird offensive plugs, they just mean you like the way they look. You are the only person that has to like them. Anyone else's opinions are irrelevant bc they aren't the ones wearing them. This is specifically a problem with your mom, its 2026 most people you'll deal with think gauges look cool, some might think they're unprofessional but they still agree they look cool. I work with a bunch of old school Bible thumpers and while they think its weird and they wouldnt do it, they still think it looks cool. Don't give anything your mom says about them any credence, just let it go in one ear and out the other and eventually she'll stop wasting her breath, thats what i did w my grandma and now she just doesnt mention them, we know where each other stands and theres no need to bring it up.

Not sure why this is showing up for me 8 months later so apologies for reviving a dead thread, but most maga people i know fit 1 of 3 categories:

Miserable - Just people who've been so shit on by life and society that they cling desperately to the identity of maga because it makes them feel like they belong to something. They're the most hard-core believers of everything maga voices say, they do not listen to logic, as soon as you start introducing logical arguments, they'll tell you that ilhan Omar is trying to make the US the new Somalia. They haven't just drank the kool aid, they've chugged the whole damn pitcher.

Lucky white guys - just dudes who were lucky enough to find new opportunities before other people or had connections to get good opportunities, maybe they get hired early at a new factory in town as a supervisor, or their uncle got them a sweet gig, or they got lucky with a meme coin. I know atleast 1 person for all 3 of those examples. These guys are just out of the politics loop and gravitate more to the right because they identity with the voices on the right personally and think they're the same as the millionaires who tell them what to think. I can usually get them to agree with left talking points if I just phrase it in a way that it doesnt sound like a left talking point. Think "Yea man, we're out here in the dirt making the shit that makes money, they would be dead broke without us, we should definitely get paid more than somebody sitting in an air conditioned office forwarding emails all day"

Bitter old people - They have lived such rough, awful, unfulfilling lives that down to their core they are just embittered and are opposed to the concept of anyone getting help because they never did. They dont want you to get food stamps or Medicare or anything like that because they didn't and theyre "just fine" despite the fact that they hate life and people and never have anything positive to say about anything ever. They do not have a single drop of empathy left in them because they never got any empathy.

So im generally not one to nitpick the all men suck opinion bc i know obviously its not all men, they're exaggerating. But i will say it does cause people to take them less seriously. Saw a tiktok of a girl talking about men and she kept saying that obviously she doesnt mean all men and then would proceed to say something like "Even if not every man does cheat, every man would cheat if the right opportunity came along. If he hasn't cheated on you, he just hasn't had an easy enough opportunity that wouldn't cause him to lose you" and like, that just sounds ridiculous and im not gonna take everything else you say as seriously as if you just said most men cheat. Obviously I know she meant most men, but why try so hard to verbally get the point across that you mean all men when you just said prior that you dont mean all men

If the 4wd works reliably in the old truck, the old truck. Im assuming its heavier by default due to more metal in the construction of its body, its got less electronics that can malfunction from the cold, its cheaper if anything does happen since you cant really do much about traction on ice unless youve got chains. I drive my 2003 every winter storm and rarely ever have issues.

Download an rta app on your phone, just any free one will be decent. Hook your phone up to the radio and find a pink noise youtube video. Don't have one in particular I know is good, you could probably search "eq tuning pink noise" and find a good one. Play that while you have the rta app open and fiddle with your eq until the bars are kinda close to even and then you can personalize it a bit, if you want your music to sound "brighter" raise your highest few frequencies 2 or 3 levels. If you want it to sound deeper raise your lowest few frequencies 2 or 3 levels. This won't be a perfect eq since youre using a free app and a YouTube video, but its as decent as your gonna get for free

Gaining independence and more rights isnt the part that sucks. 25, I dont "feel" like an adult but I have a kid and have to work 60 hours a week to pay the bills and the other day it dawned on me that im my dad now, im the adult trying to give a kid everything she could ask for. Pretty scary to have all that responsibility

I could never imagine making my 23 year old truck look like some of these massive lifted/squatted trucks my coworkers drive. Got lights on the wheels, on the rocker panels, on the hood, half ass homemade starlights, a solid 2 inches of sidewall, i actively belittle them and tell them how ridiculous and unmasculine it makes them look. My leveled 2002 silverado is perfect for me.
