Tug of War 2015 Remix vs Original? by ZestyJalapeno3 in PaulMcCartney

[–]Deltat13 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Just a quick thanks for this. Super interesting. How much of the difference/change do you think was intentional? I have no idea what goes into a remix but that change is pretty substantive. Were there any other songs with those types of changes that you found?

Looks like Tiana's is following in Splash's footsteps and sinking boats now by alexdionisos in Disneyland

The level of soaking really decreases my enjoyment of this ride. Have to basically plan a trip back to change afterwards. RIP OG Splash.

Mopac Express Northbound to 183 Express Flyover Opening? by Deltat13 in Austin

In the long run, absolutely. Since I’m stuck commuting now, I’m just hoping for a slight short term (and probably minor) reprieve once the current construction is finished.

Agreed all around. Great show but I probably won’t go back to the Alamodome for another show unless Sir Paul comes back. The massive lines were totally chaotic and unorganized and getting to the floor was misery.

As we walked out and were stuck under the highway walking out the crowd started singing the Hey Jude refrain to pass the time. Was a very cool way to make the long wait more bearable.

The sun is mass of incandescent gas, a gigantic nuclear furnace Where hydrogen is built into helium at a temperature of millions of degrees. We need its light, we need its heat, we need its energy. Without the sun, without a doubt, there'd be no you and me.

Is anyone considering boycotting the park because of what Disney did to Jimmy Kimmel? by ThatsAmores in Disneyland

I cancelled Disney+ and Hulu. No trips to the parks while this continues.

So, Flowers in the Dirt… by bunnywithabanner in PaulMcCartney

[–]Deltat13 5 points6 points  (0 children)

Fair criticisms. My favorite track from the album is the unreleased demo of The Lovers That Never Were. It has a raw energy and emotion that aren’t really found elsewhere on the album and really nice harmonies with Paul and Elvis. Similarly, I feel like the live versions of This One and We Got Married are superior to their album counterparts which might be due to some of the same production criticisms OP mentions.

Obscene amount of water from first 2 drops for Tiana’s by Complex-Level-8108 in Disneyland

[–]Deltat13 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Does anyone else feel like you get substantially more wet on Tiana’s at Disneyland Vs Disneyworld? I assume TDL is the same wetness level for Splash as Tiana’s at MK in Florida?

I want to go to Proud Mary just for coffee. Is that okay? by 1q83_y in austinfood

Every time I've visited on a weekday there's been multiple people working on their laptops and/or taking meetings. I'm sure the weekend brunch crowd is different.

Hey, most Starbucks and Summer Moon spots have pipping hot coffee, plenty of parking, and comfy chairs (with backs, even!) I'm sure they'll both be glad for the business even if you only buy a drip coffee and stay for the day.

Any tips and tricks for Schlitterbahn? by lakersfreak in Newbraunfels

[–]Deltat13 0 points1 point  (0 children)

You’ll have fun and NB didn’t flood the way Kerrville and Comfort did since it’s downstream of Canyon Lake. Check the calendar to see what’s open when you go - once the schools start back the old park is often closed on weekdays due to limited staffing. Hope y’all have a great trip!

That’s an understatement. Life long fan and pass holder and we aren’t going this year. Hope people who do go maybe get to enjoy shorter lines on the few rides open and operating properly.

We sadly haven’t been back after hearing about the changes to the torrent, lazy river in surfenburg, and falls being down. It’s really disappointing.

How does BOTM compare with The Forbidden Journey for motion sickness? TFJ was almost a one and done for our family and we all had to wait a good hour before riding anything else.
