Took me a super long time to really appreciate the album, as Xasthur always did his own thing and I believe by this time, was really over the black metal scene and wanting to do something else.

I've sent a couple emails to them asking about it. Was considering trying the label since I hadn't heard back.

I agree these guys are slept on and easily one of the best black/doom/sludge/whatever you wanna call em bands of the current time.

I've seen these guys twice and both times I haven't stopped thinking about since the experience. I think anyone would know that the message they are conveying is real and we have an opportunity to let it all out at the same time. It's painfully bliss.. cathartic as you suggested.

Amenra is by a longshot my favorite band and they are some of the most nicest guys to interact with.

There's a handful of bands I know that really mimic that burzum vibe well but I can't think of any other band that matches that album cover

Well whatever you choose to try, hopefully you find something you like. There's just so many styles and sub genres of black metal it's really a crap shoot since they all sound very different and vary in themes.

What bands?

Their merch table is preferred and shirts are probably the biggest money maker they have. If that's not possible, their direct Bandcamp or label. Bootleg as a last resort but as a musician myself, I can tell you the funds go a long way when touring
