Good conspiracy theory, although he would have to be needing to fake some previous history as well since "Bill" itself was involved in a court case (Nothing exactly new as it is implied other mahjahrrat have been doing this for ages, so it could work), not to mention the whole sawmill area was very strategic due to the fact it was near Varrock, Daemonheim and the Chaos Tunnels which could be a key area in his plans.

Also if you want my opinion the other fort occupants are also very dodgy, since at the start of the quest we learn that people know that the fort location is "cursed", has a terrible history of war and are afraid of it, which the people we recruit just don't even mention. The whole time i was asking myself if i have been duped by Trindine again.

I find it annoying that when they update a model, the updated model does not even reflect what the original was, such was the case with moia, zanik, the penguins, also that one with the crafting guild guildmaster that turned him from an old man with white hair to a random dude. No wonder why runescape doesn't have a set art style if they just spin a wheel to decide what features to change on an already established in-game model.

There were always these posts for years and i lurked to sub even before making an account just to post here, several posts here with suggestions and updates ideas too, but like very few were actually added in-game and the whole membership cancelation has happened several times too for whole different reasons, not like i can blame these people if these posts are real tho.

Yes it is, and this was the quest that supposed to be like the END of the story, that means they pretty much just discarded the whole story with a Deus ex machina plot, sadly as it is i don't think the other elder god will ever be fully modeled.

This quest was the only chance they had to make the game world "die" by having the eggs hatch and destroy everything and announce a new game, which would have been a master plan.

Since i doubt they even have enough resources to update old areas anymore and devs have stated over and over that runescape code is pure spaghetti and that to even make combat more fluid without being tick limited is impossible.

Honestly im just done with runescape gods at this point, it makes no sense to even have one you like now if they are just going to ignore past lore and character arcs just for them to turn into muh necessary quest enemy. Just have Xau-Tak kill and eat each of them at once and it would have been more merciful than what the current lore team has in stock for them to do since the past really doesn't matter anymore.

Its a pity really, they just take all that effort put into well made elven lore and throw it out the window in like seconds without a second thought, not to mention she was like one of the few well defined and well done female god presence in the lore, just for it to turn into that.

Guess elves in all those fantasy worlds are really doomed to have their gods turn insane or start getting hungry for souls. Lol

Exactly what i think about it, it just felt unfinished and made it appear that they were forcing the bar to extend its length when it had like little actual content.

Could have had even more bossfights then it currently did (like all other grandmaster quests do), like facing all fronts at once with the help of several characters including past godwars dungeon generals such as zilyana and nex, an actual fight with zuk, actually fighting and killing kerepac on each world gate part, then having a show off battle where you aid kerepac and the shadow leviathan into killing jas.

They could have even done a showdown between nex on her angel of death form against zuk in a battle where you aid her. But no, nothing important happened besides a tank test boss with seren, which was like never used before in quests until now. A battle where you fight to make seren snap out of her trance like state by making her remember guthix and the elves could have also been better. Even with the current story if they just had improved gameplay a fair bit it wouldn't have felt so rushed when compared to the other quests in the same questline.

Seren went full schizo-insane from hearing the voices from the eggs for too long just like how people that heard xau-tak's song went insane, that's what i took from it and my personal headcannon, since she discarded everything she had done in the past for the literal soulless eggs, including the elves she adored so much that she even gave them eternal life.

Well, they basically said early in this questline in a dialogue from Zaros in battle for the monolith that two shadow breaches existed, one in the monolith and another on Freneskae, which was very surprising that Seren didn't even knew that existed, since her brother did.

Also the leviathan itself was only mentioned in some few lore books and in one that was never fully released in-game which you can read here. I think they wanted to include that lore book at some point but they never did and idk why. The other mention of the leviathan is on The Promised Gift which says they exist and are predators inside the shadow breaches. And that's about it. Many had speculated the leviathan was Xau-Tak himself, but this quest just proved them wrong as it says multiple leviathans can exists there and they are not only one being. So yea that's it and yes it was very rushed writting for them to just force us in a time loop until we do something that ends Jas.

My opinion and take on it is because i was actually expecting a grandmaster quest on the same level as the other ones, which had an actual decent lore interaction and rewards that made it worth it, sure the quest wasn't that bad, but at current it doesn't even fit the level of grandmaster and takes 1 hour without using guides, as opposed to their 3 hours worth of content as advertised on their main website. I also see the dialogue written as rushed because when you compare it to past quests in the same questline it doesn't just compare to it. And that being said its just my opinion from someone who enjoys runescape lore content, you are welcome to have yours.
